I did everything you did, and still prefer a BlackBerry over any incarnation of S60 any day. Our Nokia's specs may go thru the roof but the OS? It's dated. Even me would admit it. E72 comes in my country with lifetime Nokia Messaging but no one buys them, sadly.

if your rich and your money is just enough to buy a smartphone... then why buy this phone
go buy a smartphone and not wasting your "just enough money"...
If your rich that has everything already.. and you wanna try something new. try to look different. and unique
then this phone is just for you...

Agree with you, but SE think we are stupid, 2 make up 4 there losses they're trying 2 sell this one overpriced and the cost 2 make it is nothing. If they sell this phone they will be making about a 2000% mark up. the cost 2 make it is about $50 max. What they don't realize that rich people who can afford this are generally not stupid, and their target are 4 the stupid people. I therefore declare that SE are a bunch of fools!

about blackberry what can i say...push e-mail is something that blackberry is doing quite well
but...i also have nokia messaging on my e71...and now i'm using it for free...payng for about hmm...10 cents from my data plan to stay connected 24/7 for a month...how much pay for blackberry packet?! :D
iphone ...i don't even look at it...the-re stealing patents from nokia...that's why nokia is suing them...also they have components from samsung...if u didn't know...
so what apple is selling to u...THE BRAND...and maybe theyr os interface...wich i don't care either
i hacked my e71 and i can have wich app i want...and i have over 100
and typing on it faster than u tape at your pc :D

I am still in a state of shock. Who will buy this phone ?
Apple and Nokia, must be very pleased!
Apple strategy is to make one phone, with everything in it, to try to please everyone. So you only have to carry one electronic device with you.
Nokia strategy is to make 20 different phones a year, hoping one will be ideal for you.
Both strategies have their merit.
But SE release faulty phones, that people return to the shop in frustration.
This will not take customers away from the iphone. Many people buy the overpriced iphone, just as a status symbol. And only use the few bits they need (Texting, Voice calls). And are unaware of what it is capable of!
As an example, a few days ago I wanted to compare the effectiveness of my touchscreen phone using GPS and google maps, with a friends iphone. She had no idea that the iphone even had GPS or built in Google maps. She only needed voice calls and texting facilities. But she HAD TO HAVE AN IPHONE !!!!!!

This is no where near being on par with a Vertu. The screen is cool, but I think this will be as popular as the Motorola Aura...not very popular at all.

Did I read correctly on the site? 1.60 W/Kg SAR rating? On a DUMBPHONE? That is not good at all... especially since it's supposed to be "Pure".

who does sony ericsson think they are? throwing around their money like that? You cannot tell me that they are going to make a profit out of this. This program is just accelerating their impending bankruptcy. Why dont you invest some of this money into product testing so they dont come out with bugs. God, the bugginess in SE is worse than nokia back in 2003
