Sorry Samsung, but for some people, function and versatility matters more than beauty and wireless tech. Lots of productivity and power users would very much appreciate expandable storage and a larger battery. Aside the s-pen, how different is this from a Galaxy S? Not interested...

AnonD-80609, 13 Aug 2015Whats the big deal about removable battery? I have never fe... moreWell, if you dont use phone much it is not a big deal. Im working 12 hr shifts while being on the move most of the time but also can use phone a lot. Usually after 10 hrs my battery is down to 5% and i cant stay plugged to the wall to charge it up. Im not a fan of power banks and extra leads in my pockets so once battery is down ill pop the back cover and switch battery. In other words about a minute and my battery goes from 5% to a 100% and nothing can beat that. It is usefull when you use it. Also leather like grippy panel on my note 4 handles perfectly which im sure is far better than glass sliding in my hands. Not to mention what is better when you drop the phone. This is a huge dissapointment for me especially beacuse ive paid more for phone itself to have 1 year contract as i planned to upgrade to note 5 haha my bad i guess as i will stick to note 4 to see what changes next year.

Why did they go down in batterycapacity, while still having a camera bump?
If it was to market qucik charging (smaller batteries fill up quicker).
Well then, why not make the move to USB 3.1 type C?
It would charge quicker still!
If it was to market the thin wasteline.
Well I'm pretty sure apple will beat it, so it will not hold up in market terms anyway.
And there are slimmer ones, already!
So that still makes no sense.
Besides, they fitted wireless charging, and by skipping that, they could have made the device even thinner.
So that really makes no sense!
If it was for people like me, that could handle the Note 2, just about, with one hand. And the display grew a bit too much in tallness with the Note 3.
Well, first, I still don't know if the thinner wasteline and smaller bezels are enough for me. Might be for some.
But that would only be a small minority of users. Most users, and by most users, I mean pretty much every user (by a tiny exception), will still have to use both hands for handle the device.
So that makes no sense either.
Does it then comes down to weight.
Well, yet again, skipping the wireless cnaring, would also reduce the weight.
I really can't see any valid reason for the capacity reduction of the battery.
Even if it beats the Note 4, in all categories in terms of batterylife. It's not like the note 4 lasted so long that you had to pack away your charger, between sessions. For some it was still daily, and for most it was probably every second day, to third day.

I dont get the storage options. If they skip the 128GB model, because they dont sell enough. Why then still make two storage options?
They should have skipped the 32GB option as well, to reduce production costs (having two different storage models, increase production costs). And having just one storage options, means you can get a better price on the modules by buying bulk (they are probably made by samsung, but different departments of Samsung, still buys from eachother).
That way, the 64GB model, wouldnt cost much more than the 32GB model.
And it would have made a lot more sense.
I like MicroSD cards. But I do get why they skipped it. That would require an additional memory controller, and that would affect productioncost and batterylife. And it would be problematic, in terms of file managing, what should go where?
I do think that media crazy people that needs to carry a lot of films with them, could just as well invest in a USB-memory stick (and an OTG solution, be it a micro USB port on the memorystick, or an adapter). (I dont however understand, why anyone would require storage space for bluray or ultra HD blurays, on a mobile device, with a small screen, it's not really a device, where you really benefit from the image and audio quality).
The same goes for those who wants to back up videos or pictures taken with the mobile. Use a flash-drive.
So I dont se a huge problem that they removed the MicroSD slot.
But 32GB is a bit small for a flagship, considering how much space Android, Touchwiz, all play services, and facebook takes up, and will take up, in in a year or two.
After all, the camera records 4k, so you need some space.

Also, Note Edge is missing,
Edge has nice features, during playing video...
But they mentioned its 4k recording by GSMArena posted it as 2K recording...
VIDS + OIS
good phone, but some few stuffs are missing (disappointed)
- Expected Edge
- USB -C connector
- Micro SD card slot
- S-pen ejection mechanism
- Dust and waterproof
- Samsung Knox had issue previously so they tied up with Blackberry security... But no info whether Knox or BB security.... If its joint venture then it'll be good....
Anyhow software side i know they are the best.....
Best:
- Samsung Pay
- 4K Video recording
- 4GB RAM
- Air command writing even when screen is in off condition
- Continuous snapshot of the page
- Quick apps...
(But seems in Note 5 only few things they hav added up to Note 4 and really it turned down all my expectations)....
But their presentation is not much satisfactory like previous....
- Spec not mentioned
- Battery life not mentioned
- Cost of the mobile

After reading comments in several websites, it seems like before Samsung devices were all about expandable storage and removable backs, now that those features are gone Samsung is nothing.
Lets presume that Galaxy s7 will have micro sd support and removable back, but with a plastic back, people will say the plastic back is the deal breaker now and will forget about storage and removable backs..

is it the same camera or better than in s6? As a whole its not so bad... but comparing 64GB to 16+200GB of not just hi-ends but mid-range phones is just a shame. Well for now there is no other flagship with a pen so no other choice.
