im manufacturing 8 gb of ram cards for smartphones. this is for to compete with sammy and stop overpriced smarphones hurting poor bleeding pockets.

Too bad none of Samsung's own phones seem to have these chips, yet they are priced like they have. Gone of the days of Note 3 being one of very few devices with 3GB ram while others are at 2GB at best.

Did you read the part about ultra slim PCs and did you overlook the the fact that phones and tablets share a lot of tech and SoCs? Times move on. Things get more powerful. Does it says it's specifically for touchwiz devices? No. Hell with chromebooks and 12" tablets and above in the works people can and probably will one day start using Photoshop and all kinds of RAM heavy production software on them instead of splashing a tonne of cash on a high end laptop.

6 gb = 5 gb for touchwiz + 1 gb for other applications

shit man, can you imagine how much resource hungry the touchwiz has become? a smartphone with 6gb ram, i mean whats the use of it, will it gonna run adobe photoshop or corel draw or auto cad or some 3d rendering software? its just a android smartphone.

i, for one find myself agree on this news, OS'es on ram is good news + ssd for backup, think ramdrive. blazing fast, the only difference is how the OS'es manufacturer code them. while at that. throw a gig or two to the gpu, maybe use HBM principal as well. and put 120hz chip to drive the display and generate interframe to fill in the gap from the source. parappapappa... i'm loving it. ooooowww yeeeeaaaaa
