What is the point of having all this ram when the Galaxy S6 can't even handle multitasking correctly? lol It got better with the Note 5, but still come on now Samsung. In my opinion it's better to optimize than just keep adding more and more ram.. just saying. The Iphone 6 has 1GB of ram, and while it's not multitasking king it still handles better than the GS6...

Samsung phones with 4GB RAM are using more RAM then my desktop computer. My 16GB desktop computer running Window 8.1 only uses 2-3GB browsing the internet

Geeze this is missing a lot of context. It's a 12Gb (That's Gigabit) die. In GigaBYTES, that's 1.5GB.
A high-end smartphone SoC has four memory dies. So 1.5GB x 4 = 6GB phones.

How about your next phone can manage/control all your devices at home? Then obviously your next phone need more than 3gb of ram. Samsung is investing heavily on smart home.
