harlekkin, 10 Sep 2015Try adding your details of a random bank and see if it work... moreExcept that when using MST, it just needs your card's details and that's it, it needs nothing from the bank. It has all your card's details and when you pay for it with MST it basically emulates your card, acts the same way, there's no difference. Samsung doesn't get any money, but it works.

Ok here is a video of it working in the USA. Again showing no authorization is needed. Samsung pay simulates the card, Apple pay doesnt.

It won't.
The card details are stored in the cloud, it's called tokenization. In order to do so, information needs to be shared between the acquiring bank and the payment scheme. Guess what, Samsung needs to enable this communication by striking a deal with say, Barclays or Chase Bank. So no, it works no differently to Apple with the exception of being compatible with MSTs.

harlekkin, 10 Sep 2015Really? So a bank will just let Samsung use their customers... moreSir... sir... sir... After adding you credit or debit card to the samsung phone (currently only s6. s6 edge, note 5 an s6 edge +), the phone has the mst technology to communicate with the reader just as the card would. So it would be dead equal to using your card.
THAT's WHY. I hope you understand now, because this is getting tiring.

Like with Apple Pay, banks need to opt into the Samsung Pay scheme. Only difference is Samsung's MST capability which will be largely redundant in 2-3 years time in their priority markets.
Samsung hopes to get a cut off the interchange. Guess who earns that?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Pay... moreNo you should read up lol... Samsung pay relies on no authorization from paywave or bank. It will work just like a normal credit/debit tap. thats the beauty of Samsung pay. The banks or reader wont be able to tell the difference between samsung pay and a normal credit/debit card.
So you can post all the nonesense you want. I will contiunue laughing.

Sure slot of iPhone users are just people who want a "smartphone" but have no idea what that actually is. I can root android phones (it's not hard I know) and perform other such tasks most Apple users "may" scratch their heads at. But I CHOOSE to use iPhones because they have a certain feature set I enjoy using.

If merchants already own PayWave enabled hardware, only the issuing banks need to enable ApplePay. it hs nothing to do with the terminals.

Samsung doesn't need to negotiate anything to actually release the system. If they release it without any negotiations, they won't get any money from it, which means it would be like any other feature the phone offers. They can release it now and negotiate later, which they'll probably do if they can't negotiate in time. They're not Apple, bursting with greed, mind you.

Agh85 , 10 Sep 2015I truly doubt the thing you said about Touch ID and fingerp... moreS6's fingerprint is better than iphone's(don't take my word for it, look up comparisons), so is Z5's and every other sensor located on the back of the phone just because of the location.
Apple pay is inferior to Samsung pay for the simple fact that it needs new hardware and actually works in a very limited range of places. Samsung's system works worldwide with every place you can use a card in, and it will rollout in the US 2 weeks from now and probably worldwide until 2016. No comparison here, Samsung pay is better, it's just not released yet.

AnonD-191847, 10 Sep 2015S6's fingerprint sensor is faster than Apple's. Look it up,... moreApple Pay is available in the U.S. and UK. Working on a deal with CUP in China.
What everyone forgets here is that the terminals are managed by the banks, who issue PayWave and PayPass cards, and therefore terminals that are compatible with the technology. Since Visa and MC dominate, penetration of NFC terminals will only go up.
Samsung needs to convince banks of its service and negotiate a fee model, so it's in no way superior to Apple.

So I'd still argue that megapixels do count for everybody.

Also there is no buy in from banks with samsung. Just like Google wallet. It is released in USA only but works in Canada if you download the apk and use a USA address. No bank buy in needed.
So again... Go read book. Apple needs all that extra work because its not just paywave for them.
Samsung chose to launch in their home country first. Not everyone cares about USA.
