the biggest fault is that it's ugly.
i gladly bought many pretty useless gadget just for the tactile and visual pleasure they bring along. the 'real thing' feeling goes a long way.
but the ipad?? it just crossed my mind that it looks best with a kitty on the screen!! seriously, i'd be embarrassed to pull the thing out sitting in starbucks.
why not go for 16:9 screen ratio in the widescreen era?? why make it so big? why make it so iTouchish?
VERDICT: the most UNsexy device apple has ever built...............

i was sure that GSMArena would make a Post about the iPad,
i dont know whether we should consider it as a phone or as a notebook, or as a tablet in the whole
i frankly think of it as a Phone as well since you can put your SIM card inside of it and because it has 3G Capability,
does anyone out there agree?

it's an iPod touch, but in a giant shape version... i own iPod touch, so, I don't think there is a point to buy this thing call iPad, unless you can make them as telephony gadget... what a waste energy of apple people by create thing..

And we need this device because....? Good to see even the iphone fanboys realising waking up to apples's motives this time round. A nice device in its self but not needed and totally unnecessary

Did anyone notice that during his keynote demo, there were 2 instances of web pages that he was looking at where there was a [?] icon on the screen and everyone chuckled cuz it was flash and it couldn't display it? Then Steve quickly scroll it off screen...
One was in the NYTimes website and I forget the other but it was just funny...
I already have an iPhone that can do 90% of what this thing can do... plus, I can make calls on my phone, use real GPS, fits in my pocket, and can take pictures.
I'm sure a lot of people is going to buy it because it's an "apple" thing but they will find that many people who have netbooks have far superior applications, control, and browser experience.
It's up to the hackers (jailbreakers) to make this thing work and make it truly useful.

I have iphone 3gs but i dont know what diffrence this ipad is going to make i,m not convinced that its any better than iphone because who would like to carry it 1st of all everyday for movies and for music and than it lacks Microsoft office which would have been a great advantage because than i could have used it in the office home and would have left my notebook at home... I dont know who wants to buy this .
Steve do something and surprise me!

I have been a iPhone 3 GS user for last few months, although it is not 100% satisfying but still i Love the iPhone cos of its user interface and so many cool features,i was keenly anticipating the launch of iPad and was eager to buy it but now I feel disappointed cos it misses some really necessary features like webcam, lack of GPS and I agree 100% with the views mentioned on this cnet asia site http://asia.cnet.com/crave/2010/01/28/five-things-the-ipad-is-missing/

I have been a loyal Apple customer for many years........ This is a failure to say the least. I am sure this iPad will find a niche but hardly the market Apple was hoping for.

Ant, 29 Jan 2010C'mon guys like the big man said it's sits between your com... moreIf it's supposed to be a midpoint between smartphone and laptop, one would think they would implement features from both sides so this analogy would make sense. But nope they didnt. Face it they dropped the ball. This is just an expensive photo frame with internet on it. At least it can do that good.

what is the point of this? What a stupid product. This cannot replace your laptop (no multitasking, no flash, no usb, onscreen keyboard is useless for prolonged typing) and it is too big to carry around like the ipod touch. The only people who would buy this are the rich folk with too much money to spend. Overpriced and utterly useless!
