its great an all for internet and stuff you do on full touch smart phones but i'm sorry i wish it was a full computer
taking it to uni for notes etc would feel kind of limited as with a laptop weather it be mac or pc you don't feel like there may be something more you need,
having such a 'air board' with practical on screen keyboard and a computer OS is a extremely practical idea it would cut down alot of hassle and time just to pull out a slate PC start emailing at the coffee shop or class and get assignment marks on the go
nice try apple but i'll buy a PC tablet as thats something that would be a actual thing of use and not a toy like this

I will buy me the next maemo device with Maemo 6!
Symbian and Maemo are my favourite OS but the next 4th generation of ipod is interesting me too
if the new ipod touch get higher resolution and divx support i would buy it !

HP Slate and N900 define the Tablet PC really well. What every Table PC need is Multitasking and USB port/MiniUSB at least.

Why aim for the stars when you can target planets that are closer and probably have life on them. I would suggest Planet Earth.
9.7" screen !!! Something between 5 to 6 would have been more hand-held, portable and useful than this whale.

ITS JUST iPOD TOUCH WITH A LARGE SCREEN.
No multitasking, why Apple??? Probably jail breaking or a new software update will be needed but still a good large screen option (to iPod).

Lol! What the hell am i supposed do with this piece of crap? Either i have my phone or my laptop. I sure as hell ain't gonna make phone calls with this if it even works that way, and i'm not gonna sit down and do extended pc work on this either. And it's not pocket portable, so if i have to have my bag with me anyway for this thing then i might as well us my laptop, which is the same size, but 5 time faster processor speeds, at least 10 times better RAM and HD, and 5 times connection speeds and 1000 times more softwares and games. I'm not gonna carry this and have the crap from Appstore on it, Lol! What's the use?

Question: Because the software is similar to the iPhone...does the iPad have internal flash to properly view websites based on flash? or is it just like the iPhone without built in flash?

I think Apple is going to go downhill with this one!
CONS:
Not possible to upgrade ram, HDD, battery
*Unless you want to open it up yourself and risk scratching the f$#* out of it.
Imagine typing on this thing! you would have to put it down on a table or your lap so think of the neck strain!!!
*Unless you buy the keyboard addon = $$$$$.
Software must only be purchased from the app store= $$$$$$$
*Unless someone jailbreaks it and you get all your apps free.
Also, I watched the press conference and it showed absolutely nothing about streaming video, codecs etc via internet.
I think a regular laptop priced at $499 can do so much more.

Just a personal opinion... Tablet series will fail... Nowadays smart phone can do well day to day for light Internet user....
For serious Internet user why ones want to use tablet. Laptop and notebook is much more convenient and most important laptop and notebook is very affordable with a good specification.
Iphone will continue sell well……. Nokia….. please catch up……..
