Why you guys post comments here about Winmo, Symbian and other craps OS'es? Dont you see that Android is the future in mobile OS?! Thats clear like water godamn! Only people who never use a good Android phone cant see that! For god sake! Dont give opinion about something you never use and explore like you do. Android is brilliant like Symbian and more smoothest and complete than this.

I have a Blackberry 9700 now and it is a very good phone.
But to be honest, as i see it Blackberry phones do not do justice to the price you have to pay for them.
I got my Blackberry 9700 unlocked at the store for 550 Euros when it was released, and after using it for a few months i have realized it should have cost half that price.
My brother has a Nokia E72, he got it unlocked for 340 Euros at the same store, i have to admit that the E72 is superior phone in every single way to my BB 9700 even though it cost almost half.
He can have pushmail on his E72 from like 20 different e-mail accounts at the same time while i'm stuck with the BIS messenger which you even have to pay for seperately.
Camera, connections, wireless, call quality, battery, music, speed, 3G speed, u name it, E72 whips my Blackberry 9700 with it's hands tied behind it't back in every way.
But with Blackberry you get that exclusive "i own a Blackberry" club feeling.. It is supposed to show class..
But i'm serious doubt if it's worth being a "Blackberry owner" just for the sake of being a Blackberry ownerand walk around with severely crippled phone.
Well i'm leaning towards a Android phone just to try something new, let's see what Android have on offer next month.

In fact Nokia is loosing the battle because Symbian is not a well developed platform.
Even though, fans of Nokia can still have fun with their freak Operating System.
Any way I am not an American, but I think they are as intelligence as other people of the world.
If you don't like iPhone or ... stick to your Nokia no one is asking you to try another product if you don't like it.

The US smartphone market is quite small as compared to the rest of the world. And there the picture is quite different, less RIM and much more symbian.

Like what Original_Jamaican said about the E-phone.
Another good thing about Symbian is that Nokia makes it possible for even a lower end phone like my 5800 capable of doing almost everything the high end E-phone can. (Except using my voice to compose an e-mail, text message etc, thats strictly E-phone stuff until some genius comes up with a 3rd party app for it).

You said that you are not being BIAS whatsoever, but with the flow of what you have just said, you are being biased. Its like I'm reading an advertisement. Nokia is Nokia. Blackberry is Blackberry. You shoudnt compare things that are different. Phones are meant to communicate, text, and call, not to print your friggin emails "wirelessly". Sure, internet and wireless connectivity is a bonus,but you should need a PC not a smartphone.

The way I see it, the Symbian platform is the best.
People, please don't get me wrong. I'm NOT biased because every smartphone platform has their advantages and disadvantages.
I'm tired of people talking about Blackberry being the best etc.
Someone I know who doesn't own a Nokia says that Blackberry isn't a phone but merely a device for people who love to chat. Blackberry Messenger and the regular Instant Messengers alone cannot make Blackberry the best. Chatting alone is NOT productivity or functionality.
I have a E51 and it easily beats any Blackberry. I have test Blackberrys and they don't come close to Nokia E-Series which is also corporate level high end enterprise solution like Blackberrys.
E-Series does a whole lot which Blackberry cannot do...like backup entire phone memory to memory card which include contacts, text messages, notes, Calendar appointments, phone settings etc. and it can be restored at will. You can also backup contacts only to a different area on the memory card in VCF format which is easily read by Microsoft Outlook. If a contact is accidentally deleted from E-Series you can easily do a quick search on the memory card, find the contact that got deleted and restore it back into phone memory OR you can just restore the last entire phone memory backup which will automatically put back the contact. So that's two way of restoring a contact. Regular contacts are the most important reason for having a phone isn't it? Blackberry CANNOT do any of this. As somebody said, you better have a PC or laptop at hand to restore a Blackberry contact. That's NOT smart!
Mine can make calls over the internet, both VOIP and SIP. I can make MSN and Skype calls and other IM calls. I can upload my contacts to a backup server and a whole lot more. I can't list all the features here. I can even do all these without a SIM card even being in my phone. I use Wi-Fi to do all these, FREE internet access. I can even print e-mails, text messages, notes etc. over Wi-Fi, bluetooth and more. The print feature works flawlessy. I easily print to a LAN HP printer at my office using Wi-Fi...no cables, nothing whatsover but wireless communication. Somebody tell me which Blackberry can do all that ?
Just thought I would mention a few more goodies. My Nokia Enterprise can also be accessed via a computer wireslessly. I can use my computer to access my phone's memory card OR internal phone memory without a data cable or with a data cable. I can also use my voice to compose an e-mail, text message etc.
With all these capabilities at my disposal why should I waste money buying a Blackberry ? I'm glad I don't have one.

No matter what any survey says, Symbian is an incredibly stable and powerful platform. It was the first true smartphone and still it holds more than 50% of the world smartphone market.
Hopefully, now with the introduction of Symbian^3 and Symbian^4 it will increase its market share even more.
Despite having and App store, Nokia users do not need one, justs search the web and thousands of apps can be found easily.

This reminds me of the good ole days when Acorn, Sinclair, IBM and all the other computer manufactures were competing to get the best home computer out, except these days mobile phones have more power in a generic handset than all of nasa's computers combined (and a lot more) when they landed on the moon....
Makes me wish I could back in time with an N900 here Nasa, use this and some software to a com port and control the whole place :D
