Apple developing an in-house GPU

10 December, 2015
Apple maybe working on a proprietary GPU design, which should replace the PowerVR units inside its chips.

Dude. What you meant was the metal API which was inside the cpu. And note that is not a gpu. Which is a very reason why they use powervr as the gpu.

No they won't develop anything, what they'll do is reverse engineer another already established chip and then rebrand it and patent it.

Then a few years down the line they'll sue the original company for copying them.

and maybe even the next gen GPU on SD820 / Next Exynos aren't better.

                                      All this absurd hate.

Some here don't understand what the Apple CPUs are and how they relate to ARM (this is directed to the buffoon that said that Apple is using "ARM's design" - you don't really understand what makes a processor, do you?).

Some here think that the only benefit of 64-bit CPUs is more RAM availability.

It really is amusing how all the haters are really wannabe programmers that turn out to know absolutely nothing of computer architecture. Although, I will admit, computer architecture is more relevant to the engineer rather than the programmer.
