...oh hang on, a 3G phone like the Nokia 2730, umm forget that one too, what is it with these 3G Nokia phones and NO VIDEO CALLS?

      Android phones?

Nup, I know a Blackberry they are 3G surely they must...

Try implementing bluetooth for a change, or maybe mass storage device, or a file manager.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2010Why do you have a N86 if you have an Iphone, I thought the ... moreBecause I can afford to own two phones. I wasn't taken in with touchscreen, but to be honest, since buying an Iphone, the N86 has been in a drawer for months.

Actually, video call camera story is quite remarkable. Even HTC copied Apple idea and didn't put video call camera in most of its recent smart phones. For example, HD2, HD mini and all Android phones. What a waste!

In fact, I will be the first to agree that the iphone doesnt offer anything new. I scoffed when the iphone was first released, as my N95 could do so much more.
A combination of the best support bar none, BAR NONE, and a great interface and touchscreen has been all the innovation it needed. Video calling and multitasking are overrated on phones anyway. No-one makes full use of them.

This video calling thing from O2 has already been mentioned weeks ago. An official from O2 confirmed it was a simple mistake when the they updated their pricing to add in SIM only iPhone tarrifs. They were not made aware of any new video calling capabilities on the iPhone 3GS or any future hardware version.

You see, even if someone does not write their name on the comment, their encoded location is given under the comment as a string of 4 characters. Therefore, as you can see there are at least 6 or 7 different locations from which these comments came from. Means that these comments were not written by the same person.

I would love to see how they pull this off with no front facing camera. Also, what happened to all the people talking about video calling was pointless? Is it all of a sudden an awesome idea now that it's on iPhone? What about when video calling was released as a stsndard function on the n97, n900, samsung omnia, and pretty much all other phones with front facing csmera's that can actually use video calling correctly? Now just watch Steve Jobs try to sue over this old technology as if he came up with it.

please note that we will have the same arguments with iPad where its fan said something like it has been invented by Apple while there are many of such products in the market long years ago.

I've heard that there will not be a 4th generation iphone with a front facing camera. Instead, Apple will be selling the imirror to complement the 3GS. Oh yes. The imirrow will cost only $100. Way to go Steve Jobs. You're a damn genius!
