Not at all... simply prattling off the numbers pal...
Take a train trip... look in the carriage and count the iPhone users. Not difficult.
RIM sold 11 million with a majority being 2 for 1 deals to business. Apple sold about 8 million... Nokia... well.

In most parts of the world and especially the US, cell phone carriers never wanted phones that use up large amounts bandwidth. Even their "Unliited Data Plans" all stop at 5Gb (Even in the UK. Just read the fine print or your bill if you go over 5GB). That's why most cell phones in the rest of the world don't have video calling. Video calling uses up more data than surfing the web. Apple would be a fool to have put in a camera just for video calling and not allow people to use it. Just having it there would cause people to push carriers to support it which carriers don't want (Especially in the US). Just look at data teethering which was blocked by AT&T becuase they did not want to admit that their network could not handle the traffic even though people would pay for it. Who knows... The new os from apple might only allow video calling through a wifi connection and not your data plan, or it might. I am loyal to no company or carrier. I just like when there is competition because it means more options for me and lower prices. I also hold nothing against fan boys/girls. But I wouldn't trust google's CEO or data centres with my shopping list.... LOL!!

I used to work for o2 uk and the one thing i can say with total certainty is this could just be them doing the pos wrong its not uncommon like for a example i work now for a phone shop biggest in the uk in terms of stores and they have had a white 8gb iphone pos sent through 6 months ago and we havent seen one.
but I agree with the reports the new iphone will have video calling but if the old iphones are being updating to use the rear facing one thats just lame

If Steve Jobs says buy it, I'll buy it, call me a fan boy I dont care, i went through siemens, SE, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Htc and so more, I had the chance to change my phone every month, and Im not a rich kid, my best friends owns a Cellphone store and that's why I tried them all, I used to judge the iphone so much, this phone sucks, you cant remove the battery, no front facing camera for video calls, no bluetooth sharing files, mo mms, no video camera, no slot for micro sd.
Don't judge the book by his cover, give your opinion until you buy it, any apple consumer knows the love you get for these products, ipods, iphones, ipads, macbooks, it's quality...
My phone used to get old by the weeks, even the android with the different versions it gets, how come they cant run the latest OS, thats why the iphone always will be on the top all the time.
It took me a week to fall in love with the iphone, i tried to go back to symbian and android but is not the same.
The iphone evolves by application, the others just look by far and cry.
Don't believe me llok at the numbers.

The Iphone needs some basic hardware upgrade instead of small cosmetic stuff which in many ways should have been there long ago.
The basics are
Dual SIM
Stylus Input
Slide out qwerty
A 4.3 screen
Xeon flash (that doubles up as a torch)
Flash Player support
Standard Mini USB charger
Mini SD slot
Lower SAR level

Sale volumes speak a million times louder than any fan-boi, sledger or web-hero...
Nokia is on the skids, Blackberry are selling 2 for 1 to fluff up volumes in the US and the MS - HP tablet is junk.
Want more?
Nokia push out how many different phones and STILL cannot get close to iPhone numbers...
Who develops apps for those platforms??? and how many thus far?
How many media vendors are selling product through their channels?
or perhaps... from an aesthetic side... pretty much every new phone vendor is trying to capture the iPhone form factor in design... from silver bezel to the earphone slit to the single button [home].
So vultures... please continue trolling under the bridge or putting on your web-hero costumes and splashing your keyboards in frenzied defense... just and bit of flip-flap hot air in global warming debate.
...Oh wait... One more thing.
'iPhone killer's they are not!'... bwahahahahahahahah!

HAYOP kayo, 07 Apr 2010guys,Videocalling is popular in Japan and some part of Asia... moreWell I am not from Japan, and the iphone is not a Japanese product. It is an American product that initially caters to the American users and would primarily prioritize the American market culture. Although video calling is popular here in the US as well, but using a desktop computer or a laptop, not phones. And as I have said, if you know how to read and understand english, it is because video calling on phones, take note of the word "phones", is not popular in the US. Due to several reasons like, not widely supported by carriers, 3g signals not fast and strong enough, wifi hotspots are not readily available. But like I said again, if you know how to read and understand english, if Apple includes video calling on the next iphone, Apple would make sure that the iphone's official carriers could accommodate video calling to provide smooth video calling service. Do you understand? I am using very simple english here, lol.

xxx , 07 Apr 2010You need medical help buddy because over a year ago you say... moreI never said that video call is not important. You're the one who needs psychiatric help. And even when the next gen iphone would include it, I am not that excited for that feature, but of course it would be a nice bonus to have on a phone, especially if it would work really well, which I am sure it will on the iphone if ever they include it. I use video call on my laptop, but not on any phone because the quality is so frustrating, erratic, and unpredictable. Now, if there's a phone that would offer laptop-like quality of video calling, then I might consider using a phone for video calls. Otherwise, video calling would remain to be a feature to be used via my laptop, like most people do.

[deleted post]Well not that serious, but I know what I am talking about based on my experience. I like Apple products, but I am not necessarily a fanboy.
Viewty came out after the 1st gen iphone, not before. Now I am not saying that the the iphone is the first touchscreen phone. I am just saying that the touchscreen phone trend started when the iphone came out. LOL, what? The Viewty better than the iphone's web browsing capabilities? lol. Ok, lol. What next? The viewty has better ui and touchscreen and more apps? LOL.
I am sorry, but as I have said, I do not see anyone using their phones for video call. Not just here in the US, but in other countries as well. I do travel as well. It's not a commonly used feature. But I have a feeling if it does make it to the iphone, that it would again work so well that video calling would be taken more seriously on cell phones.
Stop insisting on a feature to be popular when it is not. Well, not yet at least until the iphone again raises the bar :)
