Anybody can get win10m by being a Windows insider member. You will get the same version that is out on the market. Be proactive and stop complaining like a who.. . If you dont like it switch to Android and you will see the difference. None of the OS providers is perfect. You will not get a completetly new version of the OS on older/miderange or below phone.

sr777, 19 Dec 2015Can you tell me a feature that lacks in 8.1 that makes it u... morei didnt say its unusable...this is very much usable for them who want a long battery life, a camera that takes good photos in day light only (i m talking about 640XL, its low light image capture is awful) and smooth operations and a good display. But for apps and games lover this is not upto standard. in the same budget range Samsung J7 delivers much much better performance. If you gont get my point then i remind you..i am hammering only on the apps..not the performance..i have no problem with 8.1 version in terms of operation. but i hoped that with the latest update WIN10 and project Astoria we will be able to use the android apps in windows mobiles. thats my point..if they keep changing the date again anad again then there is no question of being stuck with windows phone. Time to switch to android.

Yes MS do provide updates but most of them are tweaks and fixes to there previous blunders and a slow catch up game.
Building from scratch : this sentence i have heard a lot for MS. During WP 7 days, then WP 8 days and now WM 10. I hope that they do not start another building from scratch thing after next two years.

This is about updates. Not whether which OS is good. So far Android is the best mobile OS. W10M is created totally from scratch (not from 8.1), and it uses a desktop kernel, so there is lot we can expect from Windows Mobile. Universal apps is just the beginning. The Redstone build for Windows mobile has already started and we can expect it being released to Windows Insiders after the holidays.
Update from W8.1 to W10M will be a problem because of carrier restrictions. But once you get W10M installed, it will. be direct updates from Microsoft. Just like they update PC's.
I have a very good tablet with Android JB. And everyone else in my family uses Android. I don't see much different in usability (usability and features are two different things) between W10M and Android. As long as you know how to make it work for you.

Yes Redmi 2 is still on KK but it doesn't affect my usability. Believe me use some good budget android phone and it will make your jaw drop wide open.
Windows is still way behind the top. But if you want just some casual internet and camera in your phone go with the Windows.
If you want whole another level of user experience move to Android.

Yes overall market share is low. But in Germany, Great Britain, Italy it's in double digits and rising slowly. The number is more in south Asian countries.

My Lumia 1520 runs on WP8.1 Fla... morethey even dont have the official facebook app...windows phone are not for apps and games lover. they tried to capture the business class with mid range phones but failed to realize that the business class is already occupied by apple..they are way far behind to compete with iphone. the mid range class is occupied with android and now MS is nowhere...strangling with tiny little market share. if they dont update their app store, they will never reach double digit share..i have no question about the performance of windows phone..i have used few of them. hope u got my point.
