1.2 % in 4 months its really bad.now only 7-8 months left to release Android N.By this pace it hardly surpass 10 to 15 %.
Now Guess what new version is Arrived and it will take more slow pace for upgrade. Bcoz companies still busy in Android M update program.

we can safely say that marshmallow ... moreThe same thing happens whit every new Android OS release so it's a Google fail, or Android OEMs fail.
Honesty I have been testing Marshmallow on a Moto G 2014 for the past week and it works great. It's more fluid than Lollipop and the stand up time is improved significantly. Overall Marshmallow is a positive step foreword.

On other hand, Google has failed to bring latest update to all mobiles. Surely this is google's biggest failure that their latest os runs in only 1% devices.

AnonD-8044, 02 Feb 2016They are saving MM for S7 then updates for other phones wil... moreTo add on ur points OEMs need to optimize the new os to better function and to fully exploit the hardware and not cause the user greef. patience is always good and guarantees that when the os is finally rolled out is the best experience the user gets. eg on the note 4 samsung took a while to hand out the lollipop update and when it came it was something good only had a few issues which were squashed with a few patches and now this nite can go for another three years and it will still be a fire breathing code breaker. cant wait for MM to roll out.

If 1% of the PCs were running Windows 10, 4 months after release, Microsoft would be crucified and they'd literally be mocked out of the marketplace. Very disappointing to see Google lagging like this.

with or without Marshmallow, the Android phone... moreI can see from your comment that you don't own a Android phone at all and are trying to justify your leash tied around your neck by Apple. Please, stay there, you would make an excellent case study for Stockholm Syndrome.
I work with and modify my Android phone a lot, and what you're saying is utter bull. Even on experimental firmware versions it doesn't crash, freeze or reboot.

Marshmallow fixed all of Lollipops bugs and annoyances, added new features, have better power management and is more fluid. The update hasn't rolled out to any phone yet except the Nexus range (which is for developers) and you call it a failure. That's like calling iOS10 a failure even though it hasn't been released, but the beta preview showed it worked perfectly. You don't understand how open source distribution of modified software packages work, and you shouldn't comment on what you don't know.

Only the HTC A9 and Nexus devices has the official update, they don't come close to making up 1% of the market.
