Apple got aways with this by forcing providers to sell the iphone only on apple's conditions
The europe n95 8gb is at firmware 35 or 42 the north american one is still on 20
The only 3 companies that still provide full firmware updates are
GOOGLE
Apple
Rim
And look they are all north american
If all the europian model phone came to the north american soil
Providers would have no chance to rip off customers so they have to limit the devices that are sent

They haven't won yet. When will you understand how the court system works? Just to let you know, when someone files a lawsuit, it does not automatically mean that the sued party is guilty. They have to go through a judicial process first before you can say that someone is guilty. My gosh, you do not even know how lawsuits work. Hahahaha. No wonder you think that way, hahahaha. no signal or weak signal means that your phone will lag.
clear the privacy setting so your device won't lag.
delete unwanted apps.
upgrade your device to the latest firmware.
there is no perfect OS!!!
