Why the friggin hell is everone complaining about symbian????? this is the best platform and it is so ahead of the rest, what the friggin hell are you people talking about???? the very best 12 meggapexel camera on the maket infact it will beat other standard camera's! infact have you seen the video recording of this phone it way suppasses any other mobile device on the maket and all you guys are just showing jelousy wich I dont understand I think you guys are so angry that no other mobile phone can beat this forget iphone htc samsung nokia whip there asses for sure, you should research before you make yourself look like a totall retart and trying to put down others so you can make yourself feel better, what is going on with you people this phone is simpley amazing....

Go to ask your favourite developers to make app for symbian . Symbian will grow market share and is still the popular platform

the only reason symbian is more popular then the other os is due to the fact thats whats installed on nokia phone's. basicly people only get symbian becuase the want a nokia phone (that used to be me) however me and alot of other people are seeing a large gap between nokia and other manufactures such as htc and samsung (not apple) both in terms of hardware and software. So now that nokia i'm sad to say is losing its apeal as market inaventor/leader people will start switching to other phones and the symbian os is deff not helping. I'm saying all this as i used to be a die hard nokia fan but after the 95 (meaning the n95 was the last great phone they made) they have lost ther appeal for me and this is opitimised by the 97 ( a sorry excuss for a top class phone by nokia). I know i've said this befor but if you truely want a top class phone that is the next big think go for the samsung wave, I know ther aint many apps ther yet about 90 but ther good apps and the preinstalled stuff is great, also shortly this is expected to grow as no1 can deny this phone will sell alot and the os is the best ive seen (has the feel and look of i phone the extra touchs of android and the functionality of symbian). Anyway this phone is not bad by nokia but i just feel their lagging behind the game specs wise, looks good tho lol

Folks, if you see someone to issue an app for iPhone which you like to have on Symbian, write developer / business immediately mentioning that you would like to see a version for Symbian and the Symbian users is the largest group in the world. It is also the group which makes most mobile ad clicks! Well above iPhone users.
Recently there waas a trend where businesses develop first for iPhone, because it was more in the news. It is worthwile reminding them that Symbian is actually more popular which means more business.

I'm not out to bash this phone but as others have said the symbian os on this is very old and dated needs to change its look, the speed of this phone from review has not been the greatest, probly due to a slower proccessor when compared to others out ther (still fastish tho). I think alot of people will have problems with the 12mp pics as they are very large files and i just dont think people will be able to smoothly look through the pics. A great alternative is the samsung wave but if your out for a camera phone this is for you.

The n8 whips a lot of phones when it comes down to hardware but the biggest problem is Symbian. It's old n sluggish n u can't compare it to the iPhone n android os.
I genuinely think that the n8 will sell well due to it being a Nokia but buyers should expect a phone purely for the intergrated hardware alone and not Apps. The iPhone n Android dominate that area. Symbian is not strong on apps let's face it. If Nokia do an Android os in the future, that's a different story.

Also, this phone will be 360 euro where I live. I would like to see a phone made out of strong aluminum, strong 12MP camera, 16GB internal storage, free navigation for life, for 360 euro or less. I don't need a 1Ghz processor, I need storage for my music and games and don't want to pay extra for it. Cheers, mate =]

Just wished Nokia would stop there stupid idea,announce a phone to early an take ages to get it released,they do not seem to see the Big mistakes they make Nokia,an i bet Samsung an Sony Ericsson with release a much more better mobile than the N8 to get the sales of the N8 down,if they annouce the mobile just a month before it released then they others wouldn"t be ready to release a mobile to challenge it,Hope the Big shake up at Nokia will stop doing this stupid idea an change the strategy now at last
