    it's a samsung, iphone, xiaomi hybrid.. for good reasons.. if this phone is cheaper than the iphone and the s6, which it will,, the galaxy and iphone linup will have a hard time competing..

              For non tech/math-users it IS odd to see moves at special cases of rotations, so not that odd that people misunderstand it - even the writer of the article seems to be confused here:
              "The name is admittedly somewhat confusing, as it could suggest that Xiaomi engineers have broken through space-time continuum".

              If we should accuse someone here, it would be the writer for not checking why it called 4-axis.

When they are talking about 4-axis stabilization, they are talking about degrees of freedom, which boils down around how many "joints" it can articulate. It is perfectly correct to say it has 4-axis stabilization, and it does differ greatly from 3-axis stabilization. So before you go brag with your high school education and looking down upon other people, educate yourself first.

                            tilt is just a movement of (x,z) or (x,y) . We cannot have more than 3 axis that is not overlapping with each other using same coordinate system . Of course they can name it whatever they want . But in the end it is just 3 axis stabilizer .
