              Wow lot's of samsung hate..

I think there are more than just pure fan boys. Hint hint Paid corporate bloggers probably from the likes of Apple. I can't think of any other company that would stoop that low to a tactic like paying Employees to talk crap about another company than Apple.

Spyroscesarsc, 27 May 2010Guys, for your good, don't buy Galaxy S this moment... Can'... moreI completely agree with you.

As for the "no flash" issue, a good camera is important to me, but the camera on my current Samsung phone takes better pics without using flash than my friend's HTC with flash (my phone does have a flash, I just don't need to use it much because I get better results by cranking up the ISO). It also doesn't suffer from the trademark pink spot that HTC cameras tend to produce. If the Galaxy S has the fast auto focus and many camera settings the review suggests, then that is worth more than having a flash on an otherwise basic camera.

With regards to firmware upgrade to 2.2, there are as many HTC phones that never got upgrades as there are phones from Samsung or other manufacturers. The only manufacturer which upgrades (almost) all their phones, love them or hate them, are Apple. Probably because they only have 3 phones, which all use the same UI, so it is comparatively easy for them. HTC's Sense UI is very complex, so I doubt HTC will be faster or more likely to upgrade Desire or any other current phone to 2.2 than Samsung.

I'm not a Samsung fan BTW, each phone I had was from a different manufacturer. I was often tempted by HTC because I really love Sense UI, but in the end I always decided against them because their hardware (battery, camera, build quality) tends to be weak.

Guys, for your good, don't buy Galaxy S this moment... Can't you wait 1 month? WTF? Its price in Europe in 1-2 months will fall in 550 euros... Think clever! Don't buy the phone, but later!
Also, from them who say that HTC models are better, i think that they don't have seen the video with Galaxy S and Desire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVlsRCMltDg&feature=player_embedded (if don't must use link, remove this)
In the video, the black color of the screen of Desire looks like gray color when you compare it with Galaxy's black... Also the touch sensor of Galaxy S is better than Desire's... So, i prefer Galaxy S. Even it hasn't flash it is better in more important specifications...

This phone sure looks good, but knowing Samsung they will announce a bigger and better phone within no time of this phone being released. Samsung phones always drop in value very quickly due to this, so anyone not wishing to pay over 600euros for it should wait about a month after its release.

But onto the phone, I hope this phone is a success, Samsung are no pushovers when it comes to the mobile market and this phone wont be a pushover.

[deleted post]So i suppose the iphone is fashionable?? Well you just owned yourself. You samsung haters constantly criticise samsung's design saying its a copy of iphones and that its ugly.. if its a copy of iphone, and it's ugly.. then iphone is also ugly.
