What do you think?

David, 28 May 2010The reason we are talking about Nokia N8 in the Altec threa... moreYeah. The better iPhone camera photos are thanks to the user with good sense when compositing their picture rather than their iPhone. Given other better device, they would still take great pictures.
But the pyramid, not everyone is a good photographer and judging the pictures with more technical point of view or doing pixel peeping, there should be many phone camera that beats the iPhone camera nowadays.
By the way, more megapixel is not always a good thing. Well, maybe if the lens is so wide and you'll need lot of freedom to crop the picture later. But more megapixel with mediocre sensor would degrade the image quality with noises and clipping compared to if they put lower megapixel count.

My question is, this company is a korean, or japanese company? Every company can't make a 14Mp camera.

The reason we are talking about Nokia N8 in the Altec thread is because it's the next best mobile camera on the market after this Altec and the closest you can compare.
We could talk about the iPhone, but then Altec would first have to release a phone with a 5MP low end camera with the lens size of frozen green pea, no digi or optic zoom and without xenon flash, or there is no way of relating.
I think you iPhone fans should go find old news on GSMarena about flagship phones from 2006-2007 and have discussion about your new iPhone camera on that thread instead, just so you can relate.
No doubt Altec has a better camera then the N8, hello?? Optic Zoom.. you can't compete with that. On the other hand Nokias N8 is not selling to the same crowd as Altec, which only has a far east asian crowd.
I have a question for people posting weird stuff. How can someone be "insecure" over a new "phone". Is that even possible? Is it like walking around being bald and fat? Do these people who get "insecure" over a freakin phone need to get out of the house and make friends in real life? Or do they even exist?
Cause people are talkning about N8, the closest thing to this Altec, we are insecure, and every dumbass writing multiple negative post about Nokia are so confident that they feel need to constantly on a daily basis label other fans of being "insecure" just so they can get daily boost of internet self boost.
I think you guys have bigger issues than phone, need to go out in real life and stop getting picked one by other people, once you do that you won't have all that loser frustration when you log on to internet.

Originally, Nokia was the most common choice of smartphone due to easy access to plans with Nokia Smartphones. There has now been more competition, allowing more variety into the market which is the reason for Nokia decrease in marketshare. Also, 5800 and N97 were released a long time ago and N97 is no longer a proper flagship phone and is due to be released.
I have played with the Nokia C6 and say that is one step is the right direction. It doesn't feel chunky and feels better in the hand than the iPhone which I found awkward. The curves on Nokia phones, such as the ones on the side of the C6 and top and bottom of N8 make the phone feel more comfortable in the pocket and hand. That feature and the development of the N8 are two more steps in the right direction for Nokia as is Meego.
Besides all the bullsh*t, Altek is smart in releasing this phone as a market for cameras with the ability to make calls will develop. It won't be huge and will only be in certain countries but the fact is it will exist.

The deal that I got on a calls/messages/videocalls/internet package was just too good to pass by. So either way, even if the phone isn't that special, I win big time. And it makes me feel good inside to see all the haters spit venom. Lol.
