Samsung Galaxy S7 battery life

13 March, 2016
We've been through it a lot - the Samsung Galaxy S5, as all Galaxy S's before it, had a user-replaceable battery, and the S6 didn't, which sucks. Not only that, it actually had a smaller battery than the model it replaced.

with regards to batery usage, it really depends on how you use the phone. if you are using the phone heavily (continious use of the phone) with regards to games, data usage any given day then battery will not last for a day. however for average phone usage who are just using the phone for basic needs phone calls, sms, web search a little bit if needed and play a game for past time then the phone's battery will last on any given day.

no matter what kind of phone you have battery usage will always depend on the user unless there is a deffect on the batter or the phone itself.

GSMarenas endurance figures are always based on 1 hour of surfing, 1 hour of calls and 1 hour of video per day.

I never noticed substantial battery life reduction on the first 3 galaxy notes.

I have had my Note 4 for 18 months (because the GN5 has no SD card) and had to replace the battery the other day. A rough estimate, i'd say it was down to 60% of the original battery life. It would get to 20% or so then drop instantly to 3-4%. I have used this phone heavily for gps and other.

Samsung started galaxy 6 battery life from 62h and after many days did up it to 72h only on paper and then back it to under 70h!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but my galaxy s6 can't stand to 1day full use and after noon it needs to charge again!!!!!!!!!! and about galaxy s7 the big question.does it stand for more than 1day with moderate to high usage????? I don't think so.then I'd rather saty on galaxy S6. Samsung please don't cheat us.thanks

A lot of companies (including Samsung) could learn a lot about battery management from Sony. They can squeeze a lot of juice out of their batteries. I still remember my shock when I bought Z1 Compact. Couldn't believe that I can go for 2 days on medium use. I really hope, that the technology of the batteries will change soon. Just stop everything else, work on that for awhile.
