I would prefer if OEMs forego this feature to reduce cost and bloat that is this pressure sensitive display.

Aspros, 18 Apr 2016Huawei is a blatant Apple coppier! Google is not, it is su... moreso?
it's good to copy from others. no need to invest huge money for new innovations.
in the end, customers (or 'we') receive best product with complete features.

Can Apple sue on this feature? Yes No May be!

Shazzy B, 18 Apr 2016Part of me hopes there's a way to turn this off because I'm... moreA sensible comment!

The force touch is a gimmick now and will always be. Why revive the old resistive tech again? People shall make holes into their phones in anger if something doesn't work as expected lol.

It becomes more of a mechanical part when force touched so can make the touch panel malfunction over time due to tear and wear is what I believe - the same reason why I have disabled it on my iPhone 6S as I am bit scared to be honest. Expensive gadget you know?

Google should steer clear of such useless/gimmickry tech and should not encourage manufacturers to embrace something which has no good use/future. Just my 2 cents!

Huawei is a blatant Apple coppier!
Google is not, it is such a poor excuse that the Chinese oems asked for it.
Apple wasnt the first to conceive and complement such a thing, but they made it relevant now.
Why now? Bringing it now, only makes their point. I really hope apple has it patented and they sue them and win and gain trillion of dollars of this!

Lot of features for android is available but any control for switch off even the device is locked, because it is easy for the thief to switch off the mobile and to stole. I searched many app to protect the power button but not possible at all. If any future update for protection.

Proves that Apple is still the straw that stirs the drink. Honestly its a gimmick at this point and I don't think it will anything more than that

what's wrong with just double tap/tap and hold/ swipe. pressure sensitivity is just a gimmick, nothing more, and it WILL make the phone costlier.

Part of me hopes there's a way to turn this off because I'm not a fan of this kinda thing. I prefer to just touch my screen like I normally do. That's it.
