Apple finds iPhone 4 signal bars misleading, hiding poor signal

02 July, 2010
Apple just issued their official statement on the non-existent iPhone 4 reception issues. What iPhone 4 users are experiencing when they grip the lower left corner is just their real signal, poor as it seems...

Hey Heartbreak Kid, do you have at least half honest opinion about the problems IPhone 4 have or the only thing you can do it´s to call "hater" to everyone who says what's in his/her minds?
You don't have any argument to support yourself LOL.
Apple hasn't an excuse about the cheap and BAD DESIGNED product they sell, period.
Are you gonna talk about functiones? Ok...Cheaper phones have a real Video Call function, IPhone doen't (using WiFi isn't a video call, it's just MSN@phone).

It' a shame Jobs did not admit the phone is faulty and try to dance around it, I was expecting that but when you get bigger you get greedy. Please folks don't complain about Microsoft anymore...

this issue is wildly mislead by alot of people and the idiotic reporting of the above article is over the top and to be honest I can honestly say the signal is vastly better than 3gs and desire both of which I own.

biased reporting offend and misleads a daily user of gsmarena and y years mobile phone industry experience

Oh the lols of the lovers and the haters, fact of the matter is that Apple is papering over a volcano, and is blaming poor algorithms for bad signal readouts? Like how the hell did that pass R&D?

Honestly, if you believe a software fix is going to correct a fundamental hardware issue, then you need to get your head out of the clouds. Even if it fixes and reads correctly the number of bars your phone should display, IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU WON'T EXPERIENCE DROPPED CALLS. I have one and can confirm that it does indeed drop calls when the bars reach empty. Software will not fix the fact that your hand shorts the antennae. [PHYSICS]

screen and back made out of cheap glassy material that both scratches and cracks when dropped on concrete or hammered like any other phone
dead pixels and light leakage on the "retina" display. in lcd screens this is common. simply return and get a replacement
inverted volume controls on some units. "some units" (mock ups)
sim cards don't work in some units. tried using the micro sim, d-ass?
camera doesn't work in some units. "some units"
proximity sensor doesn't work in some units. "again, some units, how many? hundreds? tens? small potatos chum!
microphone doesn't work in some units. "some unniiiiiiszzzzzz"

                          screen:
idon't have a touch friendly screen, gloves, pens, styluses and not even fingernails work! lol, who uses a stylus on the go?? irrelevent
idon't have neither haptic nor any other type feedback whatsoever. and neither do a lot of phones. irrelevent
idon't have any precision compared to resistive touchscreens. resistive screens fail. (must be nokia fan)
idon't have a standard(16:10, 16:9, 4:3) aspect ratio only apple custom ones(3:2) will fit my screen. big deal. americans dont get widescreen on a lot of tv channels.

                          power:
idon't have usb charging without a dock adapter. huh?? whats this white usb cable i have in my hands? is it for garrotting nokia fans?

                          connectivity:
idon't have dlna (streaming hd content wireless on a hdtv).
idon't have upnp technology (automatic wifi setup) some networks simply don't work. there's that unspecified "some" argument. some networks. which ones? basic? sage?

idon't have standard usb connectivity(1) only custom cables(2) ?????? correct me if im wrong but most mobiles use customs? very picky aren't we?
idon't give a damn about the environment: short cables but tons of iaccesories. lol, tree hugger.

                          media/camera:
idon't have stereo speakers. headphones. i dont need to watch my mobile movies in surround sound y'know?
idon't have radio. tunein radio ring any bells?
idon't have decent camera (small sensor and 72 dpi, which is less than most 5mp phones) so the photos displayed on the internet must be fakes eh?

                          design:
idon't eject my sim without a special key. niggle, niggle, niggle

                          software:
                          ios 4.0

                          web:
idon't have audio/video streaming for 90% of the multimedia sites. pretty accurate that figure. anorack!!
idon't offer a real web experience, various sites only offer a phone version. phone sites are currently being removed, so this wont be a problem
idon't have flash or flash lite - flash sites, apps or games simply do not work. flash ads, flash splash. no thanks. games that are in the app store anyway.
idon't render html5 graphics, nor can ihandle html5 controls. html5 support is in safari. research fail!

                          file management:
idon't have access to my internal folders by any means - no app in the istore allows this! yeah< like i want to snoop around files and delete my configs
idon't even have access to set mp3s as ringtones. mp3 to itunes serves well
idon't have midp/java support. java support is included
idon't handle divx, xvid, flv native video. but i handle the much much superior mp4

i got bored and fell asleep at this point. dull, pointless arguments are not very interesting. someone can finish this for me.

Oh, poor Apple. I might wanted to buy iPhone 4, but with this, no f-ing way. The bigger problem is that they lie! Wow, Apple really screwed up this time....

[deleted post]The iphone is priced $199 [contract] in the US. Which is the same price for any other High-End smart Phone in the market.

I own a Evo 4G which also cost $199. SO what you gonna say about it? My phone is not as expensive as the iphone? and its inferior?

In certain countries, the iphone might be more expensive and overpriced.

How dumb can you be to even mention that statement?
