xxxxxx , 17 Jul 2010the nokia n900 have 10.1mbps on tmobile, now that's the fa... morebut that nokia has a linux system very well developed :p heheheh i never touched a N900 :( I'm trying to see a new phone for me and i cannot see anything interesting on the market nowadays.
iphone is very expensive for my budget. I wouldnt mind having it.
HTC Magic (I feel stabed by HTC support) ITs really very bad even i love the phone while is rooted. anyways email is very bad.
Blackberry would be a nice choice. But i'm not sure...
Nokia N8 , interested on that phone. But has symbian (wich i got tired after using for 4 years)

the point is iphone is a "STATE OF THE ART COMMUNICATION DEVICE"
for calls, text, internaet....
now how can these BASIC NEEDS be met if iphone4 has RECEPTION ISSUES?
how can you make your hard earned money or your parents or your partners hard earned money be worth it?
THE MOST NATURAL WAY YOU HOLD A MOBILE PHONE(holding an iphone4) makes the reception fluctuates right away, 50% of the time it goes "signal less"
and a kicker here, the CEO of Apple wont even be human enough, humble enough to apologize to their customer, the lifeline of thier business.

They can also talk to people they know who have bought the iphone4 for a more honest advise. Or, they can go the the Apple Store and play around with the iphone4. The internet is not the most reliable place to base your decisions on.
No one invited you to read. You are not obliged to read any article about the iphone4, so please stop justifying your hateful intentions.
I have nothing against HONEST bloggers. Unfortunately, blogsites like this have become a haven for haters. Like what Steve had said. Only a few users have made a big deal of this death grip issue. The majority of iphone4 users are happy with their purchase.

Bottom line is. If you do not like the iphone, do not buy it. If you bought it and is not happy with it, return it for a full refund. Why even bother for a recall? Go find yourself a perfect phone. I'm sure there are tons of perfect phones out there.
Why do you complainers waste your time reading and blogging about a device that you regard as the worst phone ever made in Earth's history? Don't you guys think your time is worth to be spent on more important articles and blogsites that the iphone?
The iphone4 have only sold over 3 million units in 3 weeks. That's probably nothing compared to how many units your favorite device has sold. So why can't you guys just let a poor phone like the iphone4 be?

Sorry i had to reply to this :) How about users wich are interested on buying? Or on comparing? Or anything else?
Why do we bother on reading? Sorry but apple invites us to read. And its good for publicity. You should not go use those type of faulty argumentation.
It is true that the iphone 4 is having signal issues.
But i'll ask , whats the big deal ? I played with an iphone 4 here in portugal from a friend wich bought in UK. I tried to make the signal issue. IT didnt happen anything. And it goes to a speed of 6,1 Mbps download at internet. Nice? I use a HTC magic, wich goes only to 1,3 Mbps . A HTC desire goes at 2,8Mbps .
At internet iphone is leading. On all i tested on the same place with same card. Speed limite was 7,2Mbps.
Even so. I'm not going to buy the phone. I think is to expensive. Still i think is a nice multimedia phone :) Apple done a good work. But they must do better next time. I think apple has shown already "We appologise but we tried our best!" and i believe.
I only own an ipod touch of 8 gb for 3 years. :P I dont plan on buying anything else. I Dont like mac .
PS I'm saying this because i'm showing you guys, i'm not a fan. =D just commenting some facts hope you can accept this opinion.

this is first time a saw a handphone company force their user to use casing in order to solve the hardware problem...
the phone come out new brand just once a year.. & one year rnd come out this big defect.
for me, this is not suggested phone to buy

I don't even know why non iphone users bother checking out Apple's press con? It's not like they're affected by this reception concern, lol. And it's not like they will ever find any good of whatever Steve is going to say.
When Apple releases a fix, you guys will say it's to deceive users. When Apple does not release a fix, you guys will say they don't care about their users.
When Apple admits that they are not perfect, you guys will say that they're a failure. When Apple does not admit to anything, you guys will say they're arrogant.
When Apple says they love their customers, you guys will say it's BS. When Apple doesn't say anything, you guys say they don't care about their customers.
We get it. Nothing that Apple will do will ever be right for you non-iphone users. But maybe you guys need to get a psych eval for spending so much time, even more time than legit iphone users like me, reading and blogging about a product that will never do anything right for you. what an inglorious person you are mr jobs.. Now it seems like you built your empire on deception through the years.. How lame could that be... Giving away free cases? Then it defeats the purpose of giving it a slimmer design and a scratchfree glass.. Sugar coating the problem with statements like "they want cases anyway".. Don't say you love them mr jobs, you are not on the RIGHT APPROACH in solving the REAL problems of your product. That is deception clear as day! I wish they'd see through your lies.. Doesn't matter how small the percentage was for those who complained, it's the action you give for their problem that counts, and you FAILED them.. No matter how insignificant their numbers are, the truth is you failed them!

philippines, 17 Jul 2010this is the result of short testing stage of the iphone4. t... moreI'm not an apple fanboy but the same thing happened with the n97 it was announced and then it took a long time be released but it came out as a big disappointment even nokia realised they had made a mistake and sincerely admited it to customers that it was a failure(unlike the arrogance apple are showing). I have been seen many nokia fans so optimistic about the upcoming release of their so much waited n8 my advice is don't weigh heavy expectations on this device or you may end up dissapointed ...its a new os it might come with new bugs and some annoying issues from symbian^1 might be inherited to this os... to be honest i am more excited about the blackberry os 6 which is a massive overhaul of from their previous os.

It is not so much the dropping of calls issue but the condescending way Apple talks to its customers that stands out! As a poin of principle, when someone pays top dollar for piece of kit, they are entitled to get value for money.
The whole episode is ludicrous quite frankly. Would have been much better to say, we are working hard to fix the problem as quite frankly having been the proud owner of countless phones, I have never known one drop a call in 10 years as a result of hardware design.
Hmmm..what a numpty!
