By the way, GSMArena, the news yesterday said that there are 5 billion cell phone users in the world now. If all the iPhones that were ever made and sold were still working (and they probably aren't) they would account for ONE PERCENT of the market.
So, why are there THREE features on this phone on the front page of GSMArena? You make them look more important than they are.

I think Steve jobs better find another job, a free case that costs 3 cents won't solve the problem, oh i am sorry the case costs $29.

Like someone said earlier it's nothing but RDF.
Did they really have to do a conference? No.
Anything to overshawdow the fact that the DROID X was released yesterday. They are sold out online and just about at every retail store...
I wonder what Apple is going to do when Steve Jobs health goes even further south...anyone remember how Apple was before Steve came back?

I'm just wondering about their video that shows other phones with bars dropping. They say they had to change the formula for the number of bars displayed on the iPhones. I wonder if those other phones use the same formula or a different one. Also, it seems that one of the phones use a different carrier as well.
I'm still waiting for someone to show me the iPhone bar test showing the bars drop side by side with another brand of phone with the same carrier do the same thing. The images I saw showed the phones done separately, so are done at different times and with different carriers. All of the other videos I saw that showed bars dropping were done on a single phone without any comparison to another brand and model of phone with the same carrier at the same location.
Apple has taking a PR hit with this issue. I think they tried to combat that with a PR event of their own here. They spewed out some small numbers regarding things like dropped calls and returns and stuff. The problem with these numbers is that we do not have a baseline with which to compare these numbers. Granted, they only have numbers for their own products, but for me, I cannot tell if these numbers are similar to, better than or worse than another company's product. How do Apple's numbers compare to Nokia or Samsung? We simply don't know. Obviously, these numbers look small, but without a baseline, we cannot know for sure.
This to me is just a sales job to combat the bad PR they received in the last little while. I don't really expect anything more nor can I really. I must say that offering a free bumper if you are unsatisfied with the reception problems is probably going to help some users. At least they are not doing nothing. What I would like to see is how many people do need bumpers and how often those bumbers help.

M.j, 16 Jul 2010I use a htc desire and it always drops calls when I hold it... moreWoah...Send ur desire back then! My desire and my brothers desire never looses a signal what ever way we hold it and not a single user reported a lost signal problem! Stop making words fanboys! Desire beats apples latest crap hands down any given day! Stop trying to hide Apple's fault and stop blaming others! HTC or nokia or samsung or LG never does that!

ahahahah! IPHONE HATERS will truly rejoice now that they found something on iphone4... Off-course an issue, thats what they want so that they can mock it. As an Iphone 3gs user, Im not stupid to buy a new product on its first 6 months... surely it has still problems... Even nokia, sony ericsson, Black berry or whatever brand of cellphone you own. I remember when I bought my sony ericsson Xperia X1, 1st batch of units off-course, I had troubles with its 3g connectivity and its case cracking... learn from your mistakes guys... dont be stupid...

so what is the point of all that beautiful hardware if you need a case for it ? What a joke. I feel bad for all people who get sucked in apple's little world
Don't forget fellow consumers, Apple makes disposable products and the ip4 is exactly that.

Of all the mobile phone news and review sites, i now rank Gsmarena to be the best of them all for their fear-less reporting of all matters especially the iphone 4 reception saga. Keep it up guys!!!

I think the problem is not the update for the device, but the problem is the device itself, "says Steve We have analyzed the problem and Apple in to serve their customers, but in the field of advertising is not in the customer service requirements.

It makes you wonder if they will secretly change the design on the white phones to avoid this.
But then I can see someone opening up both and doing a comparison. Then the lies would be apparent.

Simple boycott is the remedy for arrogant Apple. Everybody who wants to buy an iPhone, just postpone your purchase for a week.
