response from Samsung
The antenna is located at the bottom of the Omnia 2 phone, while iPhone’s antenna is on the lower left side of the device. Our design keeps the distance between a hand and an antenna. We have fully conducted field tests before the rollout of smartphones. Reception problems have not happened so far, and there is no room for such problems to happen in the future.”

Thank you again for the free case Apple.
Interesting other phones have problems, thanks for the videos backing this up.
As the iphone series doesn't have an issue there was no video showing a problem that doesn't exist right, backed up my iphone4 working perfect, AT&T must sort their problems out,as the other makes
New Hardware like the Antenna can cause fear, especially if the design is patented ,Apple have just owned all the other makes that have obvious issues without this desgin

When people pay alot of money for these devices they expect a good return in use and functionality, Apple has to deliver if not this will go down in tech history as a major blunder which Apple may never recover for a long time, good luck Apple...cant wait for the Nokia N8

I read with interest quite a no. of posts here. I am a retired individual & no techie. Throughout my decades of using cellphones, I have never been brand loyal & simply hopped from brand to brand.Ancient Siemens, Motorola, SE, Nokia & Samsung, you name it. Surprising, I have experienced dropped calls from ALL of them. However, the rate has been so low(once or twice or at most a few times a year)that I simply ignored them. So I guess it's a fact of life that every cellphone has a weak spot. But I guess if the weak spot in my phones had been so weak that I would have begun to notice the dropped calls, this would have been very bad indeed.
Mr Steve Jobs has not been lying.According to my experience, every cellphone does have a weak spot. But the weak spot shouldn't have been so weak as to cause huge annoyance to users.

People, or phones rather, are bashed for a reason. At least, that's what it is for me. Especially if they, the manufacturer, are so proud to even admit their obvious fault. Not all people are stupid to fall for their tricks, majority of the market use their mind in choosing products worth the money, and it's hard for them to accept that they got a product they never expect.( I never experienced dropped calls before with my past units) I'm part of that majority. I'm from a third world country, and we are thought to be practical. If it's hard for americans to just forget about the unsatisfaction this phone has provide how much more for us. So if i'm about to bash iphone in the next few days when my unit arrives, remember it's for a reason.

Every time one of you try to come up with something clever to say about Apple , and make a key stroke , thank Apple for the software and hardware designs that are in the computers your using.
It`s okay everybody in unison THANK YOU APPLE! iPhone 4 is the ultimate handset and Apple is the best at everything they do, all of you Apple haters need to always remember that.

Hey Guy's & Girls, It's only a phone. I think there are a great deal of things going on in the world that are a lot worse than this.

what a childish 'straw person' move by Steve Jobs...shame on that guy! funny thing is those Apple fanatics are happy with the free case! i pity on these blindfolded people who stand in line at 4 in the morning for a piece of crap, not once, not twice but for the 4th time now...i know they prefer the iphones over other phones with better built quality, specifications & all but i wonder why limit yourself to a brand of phone which limits its consumers initially with no videos, no bluetooth transfers, then brings in video feature (3g) & then brings in a bit faster processor (3gs) & now finally a decent phone but faulty? i just don't get it! how can people be so stupid to fall for this every single time? it's like getting scammed through smart marketing policies in a global range! they just blindly got for the hype without even looking for features that "actually" meets their needs...

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Why didn't rim or nokia deny what Apple said that all phone... moreIt wasn't an issue on previous iPhone's model. But the so-called "revolutionary" antenna design on iPhone 4 triggered this issue. In my opinion, the gap between those two separated frame of antenna should not be joined by any electric conductor like human skin as it will affecting the phone signal since those frames transmitting/receiving different radio. Apple should put that gap at the bottom of the phone to minimize the probability of human touch at that area.

I see, There are many ways for iphone to solve their antenna problem. Here below some of the reason:
1. people don't understand how to hold iphone!
2.Make stupid case to help for mistaken design flaw!
3.Get Steve Job to go on stage and try to tell people how to use iphone!
4.Point fingers to other brands so they can feel sorry for iphone or share the weight of the stress!
5.Use all excuses ( more to come) try to make people buy those iphone already made!
6. Back to drawing board and kick some butts in the designing department!
...and we are all watching iphone people trying to do next

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010steve jobs's presentations could be considered aan act of b... moreIt's not a black campaign, it's just a comparison. It's legal. If this is not true, then, company mentioned above should just deny what Apple is claiming. What RIM response is the same as what Apple is saying, that they invested a lot of effort and money for their testing facility. Why they can't simply deny the "issue"?

you know the problem in apple company they try to do every thing by them self and not take the electronic component and other stuff from other specialized company, for example Qualcomm produce much more power full processor than A4 but they decide to make there own processor, Gorilla Glass they produce more power full glass than what apple use in there iphone4. I don't know why they do that???
