This is typical Apple. Blaming others for covering their own mistake.
Who created the reception issue, that never existed?
Apple.
Who blamed customers for holding the phone in a wrong way, and taught how to hold phone in a right way?
Apple.
Who tried to make customers fool by show off that - they fix their hardware problems by software upgrades, thats never possible?
Apple.
Now this behaviour is expected from a greedy money oriented company like Apple to point out other manufacturers, even though that companies realise hundreds of phones every year and customers never complained about that, while Apple makes one so called revolutionary phone a year and thats major faulty.
Go to hell Apple.
I'll never buy any product from you further.

And thats the function that iphone4 is not functioning when held in the typical way left hander would, isnt it? Games and browsing are secondary functions. If they cant even fulfill the basic function, dont call it a smartphone but an itouch.

Portrait, Landscape, certain ways for games. Left handed people, right handed people. Look on Youtube. There are hundreds of videos of people dropping bars on phones by holding them in certain ways.

As usual, Apple... moreThe issue is other manufacturer try to understand how consumer holds their phone and avoid sensitive areas where consumers would hold. No doubts there are sensitive areas for each phone, but it is apple design flaw that causes its own misery, they should not drag other phone down. Look at RIM reply and you should understand. Phone manufacturer would usually try to place their antenna at places where users would least contact with.

"Nokia was the pioneer in internal antennas; the Nokia 8810" - which had real and huge reception problems, causing people to ridicule all the first phones without "sticking" antennas. Ah, the history.

Fingers are pointing at AT&T as one of the prime culprits, having a notoriously weak signal.
The haters have been found out, and even other leading figures in business are claiming that this is blown out of proportion.
Those that ramble on about iphone owners being Sheep and gullible, have now become hypocrits. How ironic that they make such a big deal about this, when they are being manipulated by the media :))))

oops i can see apple's going downnnn! trying to mention other companies doesn't cover your mistakes, steve you liarrr. making a phone without real research and tests will bring you in such a position (as an example, nokia does that for years and that is why they unhurriedly release new phones, cause they take their guts out after testings).

Come on apple admit yr mistake & do your recall on all iphone that effected,stop yr childish comparison with other companys. Their phone may not be so smart as your.But their reception technology is far superior that iphone...please do something about these & not give yr loyal fan a pices of crap "rubberband" to tie around the phone & treat consumer like fools.

They have no chance! Apple was merely pointing out that when the antenna was covered on many devices, the signal drops, Lol. How can they sue them for something that is true??

Apples only mistake here was putting the antenna in a more obvious place. The other companies can whine all they like, but In this day and age, when handsets can be held in any way (because of screen orientation softare) Nokia/Samsung/RIM can not hope to make an issue of this :))
They can try and sue Apple, but the counter suit would cripple them :)

the solution is simple: if you can afford to buy an iphone 4 then you can afford to buy a phone that works from any other manufacturer as well, just keep that one in reserve for the occasions that you feel the need to touch your phone to make a call.
