To those unable to replicate Apple's "extensive" and "comprehensive" testing of other phone's reception, please do check for the fine prints and / or disclaimers, which will provide users with the guidance on how to replicate the "event". You may find meaningful recommendations such as, please locate yourself in a difficult to reach location such as a toilet, or please go into the lowest level of a basement carpark to test.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2010A Little childish perhaps, but it amazes me how the nokia f... moreA problem we wasn't aware of??? that's cause there wasn't a problem until apple came along with their ' perfect ' phone, I've worked for a massive mobile retailer for a while and must of sold thousands of mobiles from every range and maker and I have never ever told a customer that they where holding their phone wrong or the wrong way, there has even been a few phones i.e. the samsung f210 that even had a sticker saying the GSM antenna is at the top of the back of the phone, don't cover with your hand during a phone call other wise it will effect the signal, they didn't release videos slating other phones or the manufactures....

1. Who the fu_ck hold that way a phone when talking ?
2. N97 was about 500$ ... when iPhone 4 is 1000$
3. From the time when it was released until now, at least someone should had this problem, but no, after 2-3 years Apple find excuses...
4. There is 3.5G .... Is very easy to lose the signal when you are in low coverage zone ... Why they did't test with GSM ? ... Apple's iPhone 4 fails with all connections (GSM, 3G)
5. The signal wasn't lost complete, unlike iPhone 4's "No service"

Its strange why Steve Jobs would only like to pick on the faults of other mobiles when his Iphone is the only one which drops calls. Other mobiles would have a signal problem but never drops calls. Well whats done is done and a product recall would be a bad option. So the bumper cases should be given free for all customers who has bought it.I reckon Steve knew that this was a fault but the deadline was coming close on selling the phones so he decided to put it on the market none the less and then act naive afterwards. Typical ploy for business men.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2010Also I would very much like to know why Apple did not attac... moreNo, because its hard to find a Nokia phone with loosing signal. Clearly they have spent hours to find a Nokia phone with less signal reception compare to other Nokia phones..
