And Toyota did bring up other cars like Nissan and Ford having used the same parts as their Tacomas did. Bringing up other examples does not necessarily mean your pointing fingers, rather demanding fairness and equality.
Problem with you is. You're just hating. Whether Apple does a recall or not. Haters like you would always have something bad to say about Apple anyway, so why even bother with an unnecessary recall.
If you don't want an iphone for yourself, that's fine. But why get mad if others still want it? And stop lying. The ip4 can make and receive calls. Our choices shouldn't affect anyone, unless of course you're a low life hater :)

OMG! lets call it 3Gs, s for speed & people would line up at 4 in the morning to buy it! & OMG guess what they did! wooo! & now, a phone that pretty much requires a manual saying how to hold a damn phone! LMAO! XD yes, you're right! we're oh so jealous of the iphones, they always bring in something so sophisticated that current market can't even seem to keep up! right?
it's really funny to see how you guys are blindfolded & brainwashed by apple like as if no matter what it does it's still perfect...like i said i own ipod touch, love it & love my mac pro even more...but i don't prefer iphones cause of its stupid issues & feature limitations...but hey if that's what makes you guys happy & does the trick for then go for it! line up again for the 5th 1 at 4 in the morning again, we don't mind lol may be this time they'll ask to not hold the phone at all, & they'll provide a free bluetooth headset for handsfree use! :)cheers!

A safety recall is usually done when it is ordered by the court after thorough investigation, or, when the company foresees it happening. There are grounds and criteria for it. Not all imperfections are grounds for a recall.
And so they did mention other two car makers having the same concerns. So it's not just Apple who mentions others with similar issues.
Apple did the right thing in offering free cases and a full refund for those not happy with their ip4. Why issue a recall when ip4 users are doing fine with their iphones? Just because ip4 haters think so? Why should Apple care about what haters have to say? Lol.

they had issues with their cars, they pulled those freaking cars back from their dealers! fixed the damn cars! & no they didn't point their hands at honda/chevrolet/nissan/volvo/bmw/mercedez...NONE! they accepted their mistakes & corrected it even though their reputation won't be the same as before...but hey, at least they fixed it without crying like a baby!

they had issues with their iphone4, they didn't pull their phones back, fix? oh no no, "our consumers are so dumb that a free case will shut them up, trust me ;)" (& it worked!)...& just to divert global consumers attention from apple lets point fingers at other companies! yes, that should make the situation better! oops! didn't work the way we expected, darn it!
i own an ipod touch cause its probably the best mp3/video player out there...own a mac pro coz i like the unibody built quality & features as a laptop BUT i'm neither blind nor dumb enough to not know that there always have been a better phone in market every single time an iphone comes out...1st 1 no video no bluetooth transfer, basic stuff that i need but hey people still bought it...n now, can't even make a damn call by holding the phone the way i held a phone from childhood? what are we going backwards in technology apple? or you think people will buy anything you produce? well, the latter is true to some extent cause i still see people lining up at 4am in the morning! either they're homeless or they're the guinea pigs that were successfully brainwashed by apple!

Apple have just Ripped people off with the New iPhone,an just shows Apple never tested the Antenna an Signal Problems,An Apple think because of the Good Name they have Got they can Release an item an It Will Succede,But Just the Current Generation never read reviews before buying a item an like throwing there Money Away an Apple are just Laughing at them,an how much will the cases cost Apple-i bet some company with give to them Apple for Free,to get a deal with them

Toyota didn't bring up other car makers because other car makers didn't have the same issues as they did. But what if other carmakers have the same issues as Toyota cars did? Do you think Toyota would just be quiet about it? I don't think so. Toyota solely faced those issues because they're the only one who didn't comply with standard guidelines and requirements. The ip4 PASSED FTC guidelines. There's a big difference there buddy.

Next question is. Is it a dead end, or are there practical workarounds?
This antennagate obviously doesn't cripple the iphone. I see a lot of people using it without a case. As for me, I have a case for it so that I do not have to worry about the way I hold it.
There is no fix for this. It's either you can deal with it or you can't.
It still sells a lot. So that would mean, users don't really see this antennagate as a big issue like how the media and the non-iphone users make it out to be.

Hi Am not sure of iphone 4 but i got iphone 3gs on which i had updated the software to IOS4 and since then either my phone turns off on its own or while am on phone the phone goes off on its own and I had to connect it to charger to get it on coz it doesnt gets on with just power button. Or I had to reset it while its off by pressing power and home button together.. Its just irritating that when u take ur phone of from ur pocket to make a call or to listen music u find its off on its own and this problemn started since i had updated the latest software to version 4. I think the problem is not only in iphone 4 but in version 4 software also.
