And to think that there are over 3 million iPhone 4 out there in this "mint" condition... Apple should issue a recall of all iPhone 4 out there... The case they offer, only helps to gain 20% signal, but there's a "dark side of the force" using the case, the iPhone starts to overheat when in it. This happening when using multimedia apps.
This is also the product of bad engineering, and really made me lose faith on Steve Jobs Company... I've been following the iphone since it's 2G generation, and nou i have a really nice brick on my hands... What a cool name for it: iBrick 4!

It is time to put this to bed, i has been going too long, ok every phone has reception issues thats the thing about wireless, there is always gonna be issus affecting it.
but if people want to pay >£500 for a phone with a recorded 90% loss in signal when held in, What I regard as, the most natural way, then let them, it is their money, and it is a free economy. So if a company believes they can sell a sub-par product and retain it's following then that is their mistake to make.

Signal loss by other devices doesnt bother but dropped calls is disgusting.

Max SAR rating is 2W. Phones rarely reach that limit. Microwave ovens are far more powerful.

I'm an apple user i don't know whats happening with apple. iPhone 4 looks good like previous iPhones .
and i think they have to find a way for their product but with this problem apple and iPhone is the Best.

Apple with the help of their RF lab (i really hope it exists) must have known this already. Still they went ahead to find non-existent faults in other phones only to bring joy to the sheeps. In their opinion isheeps are that easy to cheat.
No one with any self-respect would buy iphone hereafter

Getting Sick of this. We have 3 New iPhone 4 in Family and we have not had any problem with our New iPhone.
We do not use any of our phone and keep our finger in left lower corner to purposely lose signal. hold my finger for few minutes purposely on my Blackberry Bold and lost 90% of signal. If I no pay attention and just keep my phone I never see problem with my Blackberry too. All these because fast growth of Apple with Ipad and iPhone.

WOW!!90% drop only with a touch of only and lonely just one finger!!
Imagine what will happen if u seal the phone completely!!i think Apple will update their firmware as soon as possible to secure if accidentally user sealed the phone and (again accidentally) realized signal strength dropped to SOS or ECO(Emergency Calls Only) or web connection lost the phone will initiate a self destruct system which kills (detonate to be exact) user and phone both!it will prevent user to report one more failed device and it's best way to make sure Stiftung Warentest and other researchers (also CSI,S.W.A.T,FBI and...)will never get their hands on any failed device!
well done Apple i'm looking forward to it!

Strictly speaking, there would be no problem if Apple had confessed they made a mistake allowing Iphone 4 to be shipped with reception "issues"; however they have prefered to throw some mud at other manufacturers saying all mobiles have problems with reception while being held in inappropriate way ... I think Apple has just shown us they cannot face the problem, acting cowardly ...
