Let me give you some more news about your beloved iPhone 4. When you hold it, you touch the un-insulated antenna, the high frequency signal is absorbed by your skin instead of being broadcast in the air. I saw and I can look for a study showing that using headphones (that's with any Smartphone) is more dangerous than holding the phone next to your head, since the cables of the headphones concentrate the signal to your head. In the iPhone 4 case, the user has direct contact to the antenna when the iPhone emits a signal. And since the received signal drops because you short-circuit the antenna, the iPhone increases the emitting signal power, so it pumps into your skin radio signal close to the frequencies used in a microwave.
I will not be surprised if iPhone 4 will be considered too dangerous for health, and possibly forbidden for use.

The seven stages of grief are:
Shock or Disbelief - "You're holding it wrong"
Denial - "The formula for the signal bars is to blame"
Bargaining - "Free bumpers"
Guilt - Well, i guess one would be too much
Anger - "Squeeze those Nokias, HTCs, Samsungs,..."
Depression - Its coming...
Acceptance and Hope- No

Now that's a comment from a clear thinking person and not a brainwashed zombie. I'm happy to see that such people still exist. Great comment!

ALonZo, 26 Jul 2010See this is the thing. The Apple iPhone 4 has signal issues... morethe reason why this thing getting hot is because apple dont want to admit their fault. and apple the one who start the antennagate and blame for other phone makers.bumper thing is not for fixing the problems instead to make ip4 owner to shut their mouth.i thing people getting to see it this time.u can always defend their faulty but in the end the prove gonna show it.
well buddy its just a phone not a cult or religion, wake up. if that phone cost $600 and easily dropcall just because u touch that soft nut,is it worth for u to defend on their fault??
better buy galaxy S,motodroid X,N8 or X10 or wait a little for WP7 and got ur self a good phone that will not drop ur call bcause u hold it the wrong way, thats the biggest joke in cellphone industry.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2010Every iPhone 4 is faulty. What part of design-flaw don't yo... moreFunny....I have 2 friends who have the iPhone 4, no antenna issues and no bumber cases. Of course there are people who do have issues. Therefore I was illustrating that its not a common fault that Apple have to do a recall for.
I do agree that people should return their iPhone 4's if they are faulty, rather than deceive themselves. The option is there for them. I have a 3GS and happy with it, if I did have an iPhone 4 and it was causing problems id return it in a shot.

If your telling them to stop, I do agree, But why do you think they posted this, for this
"The foundation repeated the test using two other smartphones (those remain undisclosed, though) and this time the signal went down by only 25 percent."
That to show the customers about the other phones, because apple were really childish when they were just crazy posting about other phones, don't get me wrong, I love their MBP line :D and I Love Nokia as Mobile Phone Maker :D That's my opinion!

ALonZo, 26 Jul 2010See this is the thing. The Apple iPhone 4 has signal issues... moreEvery iPhone 4 is faulty. What part of design-flaw don't you get?!?
Of course it doesn't bother most people, they hold it right, just like Jobs commanded them to. But that doesn't erase the problem.
So people buy bumpers, cases, cover the weak-spot, etc. All great! Really! But you guys are betraying yourself by not returning the iPhone and let Apple take care of it.
The company is COUNTING on its fans, as so they can avoid a COMPLETE product recall and save their $2 billion.

See this is the thing. The Apple iPhone 4 has signal issues of course. But that doesnt mean EVERY iPhone 4 is faulty. Also EVERY customer who buys the iPhone 4 is given the opportunity to return the phone within the network specified time or within Apple's 30 return period set. YET, this saga continues!!!!! iPhone 4 customers are not making a big deal as GSMArena have!!!
GSMArena, congratulations your posts attract iPhone haters. What you gonna get brownie points for scoring many forum posts, mainly full of haters who DONT address the problems but take a swipe at iPhone owners? Do you want gold stars? #clap clap# GSMArena, bravo!!!! ha ha
The point is we all know iPhone 4 has signal issues. But not every customer is suffering. In fact there are millions of happy customers, those who aint happy simply can get a refund! Not rocket science!!!!!!!!! Lol
