I'm not trying to see some advantage that isn't there. Its just that I'm not thick enough to look at a phone that exists solely because of the modular aspect of it, and then criticise things that obviously had to happen to make it work. They can't magically make it have abhuge battery but still make it thin enough to have space for a module on the back. Use your brain. Please.

Don't expect it to be cheap sound if it's made by best tech companies. You said that its bad, and not cheap, that's why nobody use it, well not for long, you cannot use same tech forever.

I think it could have been 6.5 mm thick to getrid of that camera bump and a better battery also.. QHD with 2600 may be a headache for most of the people..... Using battery mod all the time is stupidity....

Even my classic koss earphones need more power for the same loudness. I say it's not ideal but it should get better.

And i doubt phone's audio output consumes more power than bluetooth (I suspect it consumes more, actually). There are tasks consuming x10+ more power, so if the battery is not enough for them (And it's not), audio playback won't be a factor.
And speaking of bending, using a convertor would certainly be an ussue and for the phone itself.

Its some new level of trolling here, do you even understand what you are talking about? What Dream? What Reality??? Stop smoking what you smoking right now.
The same with @Grey1213 Its called hypocrisy, you say that he choose part of sentence, and still you doing the same.

Lack of Mini-jack is not development/evolution, Its forced trend of OEMs that have nothing to do with usability, its just like any other trend that for past 20 years show up and failed to jump to market.

Mini-jack is not outdated, its like saying that AC socket is old... and still you use it IN EVERY POWER DEVICE. You know why? because its durable, its easy to use and its cheap.
The same with mini-jack. Its not about quality of sound of headphones and superiority of usb-c audio as OEMs like to advertise it. Its pure marketing bait, that you catch like little fish.
Its not space that it take, as I said there are smaller and thinner devices with it.

In evolution process you DONT CHANGE something that actually work. Its one of main rule of evolution. And here we have forced trend that is not good for user nor for device it self.
I know that you see what you want, and like probably most of users you didnt used BT or usb-c headphones at all, so you basing all your knowledge on internet trends.

I Dare you to use BT headphones or usb adapter for longer time. Every day, at least for month, and then we can talk about usability of it, and then you can say that lack of this connector is "so good"

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2016So you have a problem with cables and yet you don't have a ... moreIf you are so lazy maybe you should use your inner energy... :) There is not much to choose from for now but this is the way it will be. The more something move or bend, the more it can be damaged, actually all my headphones/earphones went to service or to trash because of damaged cables. There is also that thing about battery drain, transfering just sound(not also the power to play one) means you can listen more - with task of reproducing sound by 2nd device using 2. battery -what means even if its not just sound but something else, you don't need to use up all power from phone and use different devices for as long as you need - with a battery made for that function, with a phone in center of it all. I don't say it's ideal in everything, but it will be because future is wireless(damn, I heard that somewhere, must be true then).

I have voted NOT, as it has non-removable battery, and it's capacity is very limited. I'm wondering how many hours will this phone handle in a year, when the battery degrades...

otherwise, i like super slim phones.

There is no need for plenty parts of phone like buttons, usb, sim etc. You can make sensors taking less space than mechanical buttons, charge and connect things wirelessly in stead of wired connection, you can use e-sim. All that takes space. If you refer to wireless as to something that transfer informations(like music, videos) with less quality, its just that wired connection was the best option until now(there was no tech like today, be it phones or other devices) so there is too little to choose from for now, not that it is inferior in today world. So finally, it is not a dream, but reality, you cannot use old connectors/ other tech forever. Well, do not expect miracles and same usability from new things, it may be you got cheap cable, cheap connector in phone or the new connector itself is not even final ver. for now if its so bad, anyway its new so you Should expect that, no use being angry.

And of course you still didn't provide any explanation about the disadvantage of having a headphones jack. It won't make your battery smaller, won't make your phone slimmer and won't make it cheaper.

ldiotic reasoning you just show us. Trend are not always good, even if we talk only about phone. Feel free to go back few years and check what was trendy and failed in every level.

And you dont know about quality... but you still comment about it? Seriously?
Did you even saw how usb-c and BT headphones work? its not that great, its nothing more than struggling with finding cables and choosing of: charging battery or using headphones. And usb-c/minijack converter is annoying to use, heavy, cable is thick and often it... falls of.

If someone use headphones once per week, or max hour per day, its not big deal but anything more and you are in deep S... because of charging phones and headphones, looking for damn cable just to plug them to usb-c port.
Quality of BT audio? its not tragic but even deaf can hear difference between BT and cable. And models that stream better quality sound cost fortune.

And Space? Did you even saw how modern phones are build? its not about space that mini-jack and audio component take, technically motherboards of typical 5.2inch phone is about of 20% of overall size of phone, rest is taken by camera module, antennas, speakers and rest of space is taken by battery... that IS FORCED by OEMs to be smaller because of weird "trends" to make devices thinner.

Taking in to the account of space that minijack and its components would take, even on Moto Z you could put two or even three there AND STILL you would have space for eg, microUSB.
Because those connectors doesnt take that much space, as far as device is 4,2mm thick, because it was smallest device I saw that still had Mini-jack connector.

Lack of it have nothing to do with technical problem, its pure greed and ldiotic ideas that no matter what you gonna do will backfire to them with big bang.
