Industrial designer, 20 Aug 2010This is phone is incredible, but not perfect. For a N-serie... moreAny rational person would pick dual led over zenon. Especially when the dual led is as bright as the n86's. What would rather a 14mp and an extra 4mm in thickness? I don't think anybody has 4g on their mind as criteria for selecting their next mobile.

Sometimes, i wonder at the number of imbeciles with internet these days.
Firstly, ios is not a smartphone os. The iphone is not a smartphone. Its a stupidly overpriced feature phone designed to meet the needs of lifeless old people and young teenage american girls.
What does it intrest the end user who got what first? What does it intrest me if my neighbours car has a 16 cylinder engine? What does it intrest me if another device has a 1ghz processor? All i care about is my device performs and is value for money.
Now here is the real dumb part. Comparing processors and ram volumes. I don't even know why that information is available. How do i put this. Processor frequency would only and only give you an idea of how fast a device runs when you compare it with another device from the same manufacturer, running the same os and with the same screen resolution. And thats if both processors are the same type.
Now you guys ask yourself. Why do symbian users always come back?

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2010the fact that nokia lost 40% markit share only goes to show... moreWhat? Nokia still has the 43% of world marketshare. What 40% lost you are talking about? Nokia never had the 80% of the market :P Get real. Nokia selling more phones from quarter to quarter . The % of marketshare shrinks because android phones sold this year 800% more than last year quarter to quarter. Guess what. The precious iphone lost % in worldwide and US market.

Some of the things I have just heard actually amaze me in so many ways. When you consider how many developers today are lazy. I have to consider really how much these people know about technology. I mean REALLY know about TECHNOLOGY. You see there is something called cheap coding going on today, where some devs just do not know how to make full use of the amount of ram, cpu power, storage space there is available has led to lazy coding practises. Remember what you could so with 14k, 60+Mhz.

So , for those who think innovative is better cpu and ram, the N9 is rumored that it will have 800 MHz Dual Core ARM or 600Mgh Dual core cortex A9. RAM: 1 GB (like the N900 but hardware RAM !), Flash 64 GB. Propably the ram will be like N900. 512mb ram true, 512mb from internal memory like swap.

This is phone is incredible, but not perfect. For a N-series device it should have a xenon flash, and isn't it about time we see a 14mp camera on a smartphone? Also I would love it if Nokia would make a 4G phone...to rival the HTC Evo 4g and Samsung Epic 4g. The keyboard keys should have been made from metal...I really don't like the look of that black plastic. I will be VERY dissapointed if the 4-inch screen is nHD resolution....Hopefully there is 64gb internal memory. That OS doesn't look alot like MeeGo...Nokia is playing catch-up for now, but don't worry, in a few years they will be back on track producing the worlds best mobile phones, just like how they "use" to.

[deleted post]Thats symbian ^1 you'r talking about. But still note these
Kinetic scrolling is in all menu's on latest firmware
The human eye cannot tell the difference between 15fps and 60fps except if you'r gonna tell me actually view things in slow mo.
On screen keyboard?
Symbian^1 is not slow out of the box. It slows down because you kill it. Self signed apps, viruses. . .
Have you tried opera mobile(not mini)? Its one of the best mobile browsers out there.
Ugly,? have you heard those things called themes?

[deleted post]A fast a good looking UI is not what makes a smartphone smart!
Can you Androids or iOS still handle PC-to-phone Bluetooth transfers properly...
Can they have true multitasking...running 10 or more apps simultaneous.
Can those phones even match the signal strength and call quality of even a cheap Nokia 1100..

By Symbian standards no other OS today should be considered as smartphones!!!
Having huge Mhz and RAMs does not make a smartophone!
