25 June, 2016
He also commented on the company's Windows Phone OS, stressing that neither it has been abandoned, nor there are any such plans.

Creating a new windows phone is a crime, Microsoft smartphone is basically a burden to smartphone users, it is a scam to sell a malfunction device with a poor OS to customer.

I used to use their device and I like it, last one is lumia 535, with only a gig ram and snapdragon 200 they perform better than android phone with same specs, Which rare to hang, freeze and slow performance even when the device memory is full. And now the phone is use by my auntie replacing her asus zenfone 4c which cannot be used anymore just because her whatsapp and bbm is overly active, and now she loves it.

veegee, 25 Jun 2016No matter whatever comments are made here, MS OS is strong ... more"simple OS like Android"? Only a simple minded person would say anything like this. Not a single mobile OS offers as much customization and as many features as Android. The most simple OS on the mobile market is currently WP. Get your facts right.

AnonD-102946, 25 Jun 2016so what .. who want it any wayI'd take a Windows phone over any Android phone anytime of day. I like the quality, reliability, security and the advanced looking interface that's actually useful. (live tiles instead of the old, boring, static icons)

Windows 10 phone is now bug free. What is needed are high quality handsets. Thin, good RAM. Good battery, and windows phones will be competitive. Microsoft should come up with an affordable 8 inch tablet with 64GB Storage and 4 GB RAM running a fever full version of Windows 10. To make it a killer, they should add a compact keyboard 2 in one design

No matter whatever comments are made here, MS OS is strong in PCs and expected to be good in mobiles. And I am sure they can come up and make their phones competitive in the market, if they have a will as they have the potential to improve it. Most people go behind iphones for status. Also simple OS like Androids which attracts virus as result of uncontrolled third party applications and its openness. Initially I too found it difficult to handle but could overcome it in a weeks time. Some of the literate youngsters also getting interested and admit MS OS as better to Androids. MS has to improve their marketing strategies and speed up improvement measures. I personally look forward to their forthcoming surface mobiles and WISH MS EVERY SUCCESS.

Windows phone is mostly used by grandpas, why do they require innovation.?

If it wouldn't have an x86 SoC, and full compatibility to windows (for small screens) - this device wouldn't be groundbreaking and a success.

Because there wouldn't be any more Atom chips, it must have a Core-M or an Apollo-Lake Pentium or Celeron.

The fact that it is targeted at enterprise users and not consumers, doesn't sound good for me - like a niche product. DoA!!!

The sure thing is that Intel had screwed MS by cancelling the Atom (and Atom SoFia) lineup!!! This could have saved the Windows Phone/Mobile completely!!!

so like surface it would be in between a phone and phablet?
The executive had to say something so he said 'category innovating'. Fortunately it was not like Elop's 'burning platform' quote....I still hate that guy for killing Symbian and Nokia single handily.

AnonD-398950, 25 Jun 2016In my opinion Windows 10 Mobile are fine now. Was very bugg... moreI don't think it has something to do with performance alone and with the device in question.
Rather, it has something MORE to do with innovation and setting customer's expectations.
When they released Windows 8, it was with expectations to be at par with mobile devices. However, they neglected the fact that Windows OS are NOT for ARM devices... so now, they have released Windows 10 with the expectation that it is applicable for ALL devices (ONE PLATFORM marketing). Turns out that it's NOT true.
So now, they are claiming another "innovation". Given past experiences, this might most likely turn out to be a lie... again and again...
We still hope that they will prove us wrong...

I heard something about being 3 models: entry-level, business, enterprise/hi-end, even 1 hi-end is enough, but give it at least XL/pro variant.

Microsoft, define high-end for me. I've seen their mid ranger powered by SD200. I remained speechless.

hey Microsoft first improve ur os for the low end mobile phones eg like 535 , 730 ..etc

then go for new mobiles , because the simplest problem is there in mobile is navigation problem and hanging a lot, people can not play 100 mb game smoothly see this is how ur entry level n mid range phone having problem....

go n upgrade those phone's os , the only thing is ur mobile can do in windo 10 is cliking selfies only nothing else , because by upgrading in 10 mobile get sucked up so much...

8.1 is way better then this.

I was u WP user for more than 3 years, it had improved somewhat, but not as expected. Iagree it has got an interesting interface, but the win 10 brought so many bugs. Im L930 win 10 user, and i hate the instability and poor battery life of win10. Only reason i keep win10 is it offers my local language keyboard.
I cant think of what kind of innovation they are talking about. I had the poorest battery performance in almost every wp i used. I wont buy anything of wp again unless you satisfy me with something durable

"Category innovating" introducing a new category, like the surface line up that comes between tablet and laptop.

What if windows 10 mobile starts supporting all apps directly from windows pc.. Then there will be no need for all these app port and all these ios bridge..
