hey ppl, i am new to this web site. erm, i do have some questions on k800i. i prefer k800i to N80. i intend to buy k800. but i have my budget. does anyone knows when k800i will be lunched and how much approximately how much does it cost when it is launched ?? Thx for those who replied... =)

cmmon sony is always better better than nokia. alwayz providing more features and less price. nokia will is and always will be a total faliure.nokia sucks.!

The k800i wins in photo quality, although i think its got alot more improvement to go to be worthy of the cybershot brand. Noise has been replaced with non sharp, blurred pictures which seems to be what nokia is doing too with their 3 megapixel handsets. Would be nice to see sony using thier expertise abit more to get an advantage over nokia because they are becoming very close to picture quality.

for your music needs, you need to refer to K800 as the set comes with amplifier inside although not as good as walkman series. anyway when you wear earphone, the K800 will have better clarity than n80. in short only n91 can compete with SE phone in terms of sound.

well sonyericsson has always won in camera comparisons....same here......N80 also performed pretty well,but not quite upto K800,it having a cybershot camera.....N80 was better in video recording though...that was only bcoz of higher resolution.

SE K800 great photos (N80 almost the same), N80 the best video that comes form a mobile phone there is!

well i K800i is the winner in every aspect just sony's video camera is just a bit poor then nokia,but i still prefer k800i.Sony is best.

although the SE photos look better in shaded areas, the N80 photos look more realistic in terms of colour. and N80 is really a gadget with its main principle being a phone rather than SE having to use cybershot as a marketing stunt as a concept phone when it has all along been using similiar technology. Nokia Still is on Top!

there is no need to even compare the two phones you can undoubtedly say that Sony Ericsson K800i and K790i are the winners.. Sony has been in making world class camera's sinces ages.. and nokia a new comer is no competition.. youu can chck the comparison of K750i and N90.. you will get the answer yourself..

K800 is undoubtedly the winner. Ok, maybe as far as video is concerned, it come to equal terms with N80.
You can easily tell who has more experience in the field of camera making

Camera - K800 wins
Video - N80 wins
The camera is only slightly worst but the video is much better on the N80. I really love music so which phone is better for me?

I think nokia has done a great job by giving such good camera and what have sony done put a cyber shot so it be better and still N80 gave a tough fight and it was close and n80 is the winner.

I tink SE K800 produces slightly better quality picture compared to N80 since K800 is a cybershot phone and is highly promoted 4 its camera.Video is of coz N80 which is far more superior than K800.Conclusion,Nokia N80 is the winner coz of its jam-packed functions n video quality.N80 pic quality is considered very good for a phone that is not highly promoted 4 its camera n far better than any 2MP phone on the market.

Good Review, but what about...

I like the review of the N80 & K800, they are both good phones and have almost identical specs in regard to the camera (both CMOS, 3.2Mpx etc.)
That's great, but I think it is unfair to label the K800 advantageous because it is a "Cyber-Shot". After all, it is ONLY the name that makes the difference and not the experience as mentioned in the review (Both makers are equally experienced in MOBILE cameras in my opinion). In terms of tech-specs they are not far appart. Carl-Zeiss & Cyber-Shot are mere cover-ups to boost sales.
I would be interested in getting a SE K800i vs. SHARP 903/904 comparison. The last review I read didn't do the 903SH justice. Both phones should be compared at their best resolution & quality, clean lense & proper lighting levels.
Just the fact that the 903SH is already 7 Months old, compared to the K800 shouldn't make it difficult to bring on a review.
Overall GSMARENA seems to neglect SHARP, when they seem to feature some of the best camera phones. Availability shouldn't matter, I know that models aren't always easy to come by in the Czech Republic. But you should do it, I think SHARP deserve some credit for their effort.

o comone how can you say that n80 is beter in picture clariti aither you are blind or you just cant tell color from color
the winner is by far k800 in the picture segment
i understand that many postat ther opinion just based on the fact that it s nokia sa it s better
just look at the review on mobile-review where nokia 3250 got 8.8 points when it was in sight an 6.4 when it was hidden
an there are a lot of test that show that people are just ignorant and in my opinion stupid
i aint sayng that n800 isent a great phone but when it comes to pictures it s a lot whorse than k800
so the winner in is k800 by far(beter qualliti, beter color , lesser noise , xenon flash it s like compering k750 with n70 or DSC-N1 and a n93 let s be serios)

LMAO, does some one here work at MIRAMAX? why the heck would someone need DVD quality videos? As good as good video capture is, picture quality is more imporant.
And will some people learn to read, they want you to discuss about the 3MP shootout, not the who has wi-fi and symbian shootout.

k800i-s camera is just a beta, so it will be better, but anyway its better than n80-s...
