luis, 14 Sep 2010Sales charts tells another story. You are right... a totally different story... cause the base, the backbone of all nokia sales are the low (and I mean low)end phones! Nokia lost the high-end device race long ago!!! Nokia's last successful high-end device was the N95... and that was ages ago!!!

Oh, it's such a shame Nokia still insists on using symbian... the lamest, most pathetic and boring OS any touchscreen phone has ever known!!!!

The fact that E7 born with a slow CPU and poor memory is a big mistake for a nice phone. It´s time for better engines, better batteries, faster phones...
Displays and futures are alredy here, and go on, but costumers need speed and a new world of batteries, solar cases, whatever.
E7, nice phone and look solid, almost full package, no horsepower... Fail to dominate the jungle.

[deleted post]hmm.. so iphone's the only phone with 720p, 30fps, and so on.. ?? really? you said that 13 million people can't be wrong.. then what about the BILLIONS that are using nokias for their everyday use? you see, iPhone CANNOT be the best phone ever.it doesn't have a xenon flash, HDMI port, on the go USB connection a higher resolution camera and most of all it's expensive... the retina display is not really necessary... i mean c'mon, they'll just use the display to see what they're doing.. that's the main purpose right?.. would they buy an iPhone just to say that "hey my phone has more pixels than your eyes do." millionares, CEO's, and famous people use it because they can actually afford it! people would not die just to have an iPhone. and nokias, samsungs, LG's gives them that affordable price with acceptable features. famous people and millionares do not need advisers. they want it because they want it. simply that. well CEO's maybe, but they don't occupy the whole earth.i'm a nokia user but i'm just stating facts..samsung has varieties too. so the have more[maybe] users. peace..

Nokia has lost the race to Samsung. These phones are no match to the Galaxy S and Bada Wave. Samsung is way bigger than Nokia now.

Nokia User, 14 Sep 2010Well, I suggest you read the spec sheet again.... and you'l... moreI know its got the wifis. But Apple is the first with full realtime (Facetime) Wifi to wifi video calls. No one has every had this before.
I suggest you read the facts with Facetime. . The iphone 4 camera is also better than Nokias offerings. Its got the worlds first 720p true color 30fps video. None of this 15fps 320x160 video you get from nokia

[deleted post]Well, I suggest you read the spec sheet again.... and you'll see all the Nokias here got WiFi... and ooh yes, there're also apps available, not that many, I have to give that but Nokia doesn't have to cheat their customers with being the first one of making wifi video calls, what a nonsense... you can make video calls already for god knows how many years with other phones, but hey... there's no fruit on the phone so I guess it's not cool

[deleted post]NO default (doesn't require app) wifi video calls. The first native video wifi calls on a mobile in the world is the apple 4. Its also got appstore and therefore is the best. Like I said 13 million buyers/users can't be wrong.
Apple don't need to reopen the antennagate issue with Samsung, HTC and nokia phones they are all antenna gated and suffer from no signal if you death grip them.

I don't know why Nokia keeps using such slower CPUs. 2010 has been the year of ARMv7 (Cortex-A8, Snapdragon, etc.) Nokia is still stuck on ARMv6, and this is one of the reason why their smartphone sales plummeted, taken over by Fruit, HTC, and possibly by Samsung this year.
Next year it'll be the year of Cortex-A9 dual-core series (TI OMAP4, Samsung C210, Tegra 2, etc.) What's Nokia going to do then? MeeGo? with what, Intel 32nm Atom CPU?

The E7 cannot compete with other high end touchscreen smartphones. Saw a demo on youtube and it's quite sluggish and unresponsive. Looks nice though, but it seems like it's nothing more than a repackaged N97. They should position this phone in the mid end for it to be competitive, or else no one would buy this phone, except of course blind nokia fans :)

Haven't been a fan of many of Nokia's latest offering including the N8. Only the N9 interests me. But I have to admit, those are some nice phones! The prices on C7 and C6 at is very reasonable. Nokia should target the mid-range level more with classy designs and materials like that.
