Sadly, Nokia won't show us any of the upcoming phones, like the N9, due out for Q4/Q1 because then the N8, E7, and C6 will suffer due to everyone holding back for the big guns. I think these are good looking phones, but the OS has a limited lifespan, and there are better ships on the horizon.

I called it rubbish because who would want to read some spec sheet of their phone that they've seen 100 times before hand. Do you think I haven't seen the specs sheet before and know my phone's capabilities?
By your research, your obviously not sure that you are talking facts. The 3G and GSM have their own baseband chip to play with, its not like they are using a lot of RAM (why the hell would you implement seperate RAM just for it...?). When it comes to low level part of the phone, you don't really know what you are talking about. You should probably take some programming classes or something, they actually teach you how the basic processor cycle works right at the very start. Fetch decode execute... the simply baby stuff.
I don't know if you are seeing it (prob not by what your replying) but you, with the use of repetition, are just saying the same thing over and over again. Oh spare me, the bordom (no wonder I'm replying..!).
PS: It seems that your "knowledge is fading" because from what you said previously, personal attacks show signs of this. By your sleeping remarks, maybe your "knowledge is fading". BTW I actually should go to sleep.

It'll last twice as long as a Snapdragon 1GHz with a 800x480 screen with a 1500mAh battery.
Sure, Snapdragon is faster and the screen on Nokia is lower resolution.
But the upside is so much longer battery life, even with a lower capacity battery.

Calling Nokias official N900 Maemo page as rubbish is just a sign of frustration cause you got put in your place. Obviously you will keep your N900 experiences to yourself, cause you have none. Virtual Memory is vital to multitasking and apps use. Dedicated RAM on phones are mainly used for 3G/GSM radio and OS kernel.

N900 has up to 1GB of application memory (256 MB RAM, 768 MB virtual memory). Now do you understand why it is the best apps multitasker in the world?

Great, BUT still no good because it is still Symbian and the low screen resolution is not ok 2010 and Nokias biggest problem has always been, and still is, their small batteries.

...Why can I install Photoshop on my USB flash drive and use it on other computers? Your understanding of "rooted" is obviously different to mine. By deep down inside the OS, I mean that the apps make use of core OS files and APIs. Even on a computer apps are not "rooted" (in your sense) unless they install drivers or such. On a java device on the other hand, the apps are coded for the java language and run on the java engine. Once again, our understanding of "layer apps" are two worlds apart.
Maybe if you were to actually read my replies instead of calling them offtrack, offtopic and such then maybe I would have nothing to abuse you about. Also, you are pretty much contradicting yourself as in you are also attacking me personally with remarks such as "escape". But thats cool, it doesn't bother me. Maybe it's a sign that your "knowledge fades". I love the portability of this computer, it keeps me connected.

Symbian sucks, windows phone 7 is the way to go even android and ios are not impressive as win Phone 7. Windows phone 7 is complete different and unique kind of os ever seen although at the beginning it will not have cut, copy & paste and multitasking but they will add them on the next update. Although there will be no 3rd party apps--but the state of the application is saved when leaving the app so the application does not restart when the user returns to it unless they open more apps that require heavy system resources in which case the app will be notified of its termination and it can save its own state (if its developer implemented that)

Why do you think it would lag?
Symbian has always been very efficient with memory from Psion days. The C7 like all Symbian^3 uses WDP which gives you effectively more memory. I have been using Symbian^3 for the last few months and notice no lag whatsoever and I am definitely a power user with multiple apsps open that I regularly switch between.
