So this is the notorious "N9", huh? It turns out to be E7 after all. The prototype that came out a month ago looks exactley the same, when the whole world was convinced it was a preproduction version of n9!

The reason you can install and uninstall Apps on external memory cards just like that without even accesing the OS system folders is one of the reasons why they are not rooted. Kudos to you and your ignorance. Is it really that important to win a argument that it makes you fabricate stuff and attack my vocabulary? How has that got to do with anything. It is known that when knowledge fades, you start using names and personal attacks. Go to bed mate, escape. Going to sleep are you to, nice one...

E7, very nice. Like the N8 too, but I think the keypad wins it for me.

Finally, this is great news for me. The readers on gsmarena are more interested in Nokia than any other brand. My future phones:Sony Ericsson Vivaz,Nokia N8,Nokia C7 and maybe the Nokia E72 or the successor to the E72 if they have one.

With the structural changes going on at Nokia it may be some time before they release products that significant numbers will find desirable - not this tosh they are announcing today.
For me they need to look at three things desperately: build quality, display quality and OS quality.
None of these compete with who they are pursuing in the smartphone market on these three aspects. Do they really think people will go for these instead of what Apple, HTC and, to a lesser extent, Samsung offer NOW? Let alone what these have coming soon (particularly HTC).

what exactly does c6-01 lack as compared to the c7 that it is a good 75 euros cheaper?
i only see the 0.3" reduction on display, though this has the clearblack thing that c7 doesn't :|

Thats correct, but android is only 2 years old. 17% in 2 years is amazing and all predictions show that android will eventually takee over nokia unless they change their current trends. Hopefully symbiand that the ovi store make significant improvements, because thats what the markets all about now. Every company is releasing speedy very high end tech loaded phones with awesome screens, so that wont be enough to win the battle anymore.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2010What the hell are you talking about?! Listen dude, get your... moreWe are talking about smartphones (atlest I am), "smarter" phones that operate in a similar fashion to a computer. REGARDLESS of what system it is, be it mobile or PC, all things are loaded within memory. When an app is executed, it is executed in memory and the OS decides what to do with it. When an app is backgrounded, it is kept within memory and the OS decides whether it stays in memory or goes to virtual. I ain't talking about some feature phone running java applications. I'm talking about a mini computer, a smartphone. On a Symbian device atleast, the apps are "deeply rooted" (if you must). Maybe on your feature phone running java where the apps have no direct access to the hardware uses the "layer apps" as you suggest.

Once again, you fail to comprehend anything that I have said (not suprising as your vocabulary is shoddy). I don't even want to bother arguing with someone who doesn't have any knowledge with how it works in low level. I've have enough, I'm off to bed, don't expect anymore replies from me. Good day.

All Symbian^3 is mid-range phone. So E7 is Mid-Range PHONE. it's not HIGH-RANGE PHONE. Get it?

Guys, does N8 has CBD display too?
I remember when Nokia said that N8 use the 2nd gen AMOLED that has improved sunlight legibility...
Could it be the CBD one that they're talking about?
I don't see any point why Nokia put it in the cheaper C7 and not on their multimedia flagship N8.
And also when developing N8, they must be developing E7 and C7 too (remember those E7 and C7 leaks?), so why not Nokia put CBD on N8 too?
                        Just my 2 cents...

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2010"Really? Did you just wikipedia that? What the hell is... moreWhat the hell are you talking about?! Listen dude, get your priorities straight or we can drop this debate right now. You don't need to tell me about RAM's on PC's, it has nothing to do with mobile processors on phones. Are we talking about PC's or Mobile Phones? Mobile phones uses layer Apps, not deeply rooted programs like on PC's. Mobile phone Apps are deppendent on virtual memory more or less, rooted programs on PC's are not cause they run on dedicated memory. Next time talk about what is really the subject instead of flying away to lala land in desperate attempt to win an argument.

These are good phones but I think 3.5" screen is more than enough for a phone especially when combined with a resolution of 360x640 (N8 is the sweet spot)

I think MeeGo will be exclusive for N9 combined with higher resolution and a processor that's suitable for the OS

N9 will be the flagship product from Nokia which may release next year. (based on my guess though)
