31 July, 2016
Galaxy Note's defining feature is the S Pen. Or is it just the upgraded hardware over the Galaxy S?

without the S-pen Note is just another S in different size ... there wouldn't be any point in making a Note phone that doesn't come with the S-pen so it's a must imo ....

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2016if you read my comment, I'm not just talking 'how' the note... moreThe emphasis on the 'relative'and 'depends on the user' directly contradicts your ridiculed response that I granted that guy a point.

Advocating relativity in this particular topic means if somebody sees it this way, then so be it. If the other found it that way, then okay.

And campaigning for objectivity further stresses the already contradicting theme you are relaying to anyone else. There's a mix of subjectivity as well.

If we can't agree to an agreement, then I will be the one to step back. I promise I won't chuckle back.

Pedro-TheNeighbor, 01 Aug 2016And so you can get an 8", 10", or 12.2" Galaxy Note. The ma... moreThis is an expensive phone maybe toys, classless but full of features designed for S-Pen. I think the 8 inch tab is better than tiny screen and tiny S-Pen. I personal try it out the 8 inch tab is better, the S-pen is bigger than the tiny one.

We... moreif you read my comment, I'm not just talking 'how' the note series was created, but also talking about 'do you need it?' it's all relative, it's depends on the user itself (gosh, I'm repeating it again which is clearly stated). And then followed about 'how' the note series was created as follow up-response of that guy's (previous) comments. Since when we are talking about 'why' we need it?

You see, people have their own personal point of view, but, some people here clearly without any objectivity on the matter, just like that guy, only thinking about his/her needs or usage without thinking there are other people who still need it. If you see as he/she sees, of course you don't need it, but if you see as other who need it (example: creative illustrator who uses his note to draw) of course you really need it, that's why I said it before: it depends, it's all relative. As for your matters, confusion can arise because you didn't fully understand it since you were ignorant to read carefully.

Jovan, 01 Aug 2016All things considered, it's your comment that is pointless.... moreIf you read through my message, I clearly pointed out that universally speaking, it is an essential and at the same time pointless feature. An irony it is.

But if you happen to misunderstood, I still respect your opinion about me. I won't dwell about it more than I did and let us move on. Have a good day.

You see, if you discredit one's point of view, you are ignoring yourself to understand should the confusion arises.

I did not vote although I previously owned a Note 3 as other's opinions(like that guy and yours) matter to me more and I welcome every person's thoughts with proper arguments along the way. Which is why we are all here :)

The S-Pen is the main reason I keep buying Samsung phones. I use it to sketch, draw and write almost every day. To me, a phone without a digitizer pen feels like a small typewriter.

Believe we were the second territory globally to get the phone.

Possibly the last to get Marshmallow for it though

A phone that costs more than most peoples biggest tech purchases.

Samsung; you will not see my money a second time.
Support for this device was obviously just what came in the box-got ya money- thanks for playing!

S-pen makes baldurs gate almost playable on a screen size smaller than a tablet.

Daily, for work the s-pen proves useful.
I won't pay a premium to Sammy again; if I have to I will go immaculate second hand unit to replace it... (touches wood)

For my opinion... i think they called it a note series because of the s-pen. What is the partner of a typical notebook? A ballpen... right? If you don't like a pen... so choose another samsung series... so many choose are.

AnonD-292864, 01 Aug 2016I don't find the S-Pen useful. I used Note 3 for nearly 2 y... moreS-pen can do precision point and select but it is a tiny toys, hold it just like holding a half smaller pencil.

The most important is the size. The S-pen and Note is just Tiny like a toys it can't be as the usual size, so it must have it limit. Furthermore, The Size of the Ram and the Size of the firmware is bulky than usual, do you feel it lag after software update? You shouldn't know the limit for a Tiny.

The S-pen needed or not its depends on the user itself, it's all relative.. If there is no S-Pen in Future Note Series Phones, I would have gotten an S7 Edge by now. S-Pen has been extremely useful to me at work, even though i don't use it on a "daily" basis. So dear Samsung, please don't ditch S-Pen for Note Series. ***Btw, I am using a Note 4 and it's still awesome.

Apart from s-pen artistic and note taking features, it is very very useful. I want and need it. Very nice to use when you can't unlock your phone with fingerprint because you are wearing gloves. Even in the upcoming note 7 with iris scanner, when your are in the dark place and wearing gloves, s-pen all the way will do the unlocking and you will be able to use your phone with it!
