Anonymous, 06 Oct 2010"can n8 beat wave s8500 overall?" It depends o... more("can n8 beat wave s8500 overall?"

It depends on your preferences and what you find important. Judging just from the specs list, they seem quite similar, except for one important point: the camera. The camera on N8 blows other mobiles out of the water and then some. So yeah, in my eyes the Wave is beat)

that's your point of view man and i respect that... but lets not forget other categories like the ram, processor, battery, samoled vs amoled, etc... n8's camera is good, no doubt bout it, wave camera is not that bad either... but overall, i give it to wave, its a revolution... if galaxy s has at least a camera flash, then i would have bought it over wave...

The review by GSMArena took so long cause there's not a good thing to comment on it aside from camera. If you compare it with latest phones by Samsung,HTC,Apple & even Sony Ericsson,it's the worst UI I've ever seen. Some sort like a more polish N97 which still have unforgiveable bugs in it.No wonder their Finnish CEO resigned last month after seeing how much Nokia's research team has improve after the last Nseries.I think Windows phone 7 beats it hands down easily when it launches in few days to come. It's a sad sad release from Nokia after being a leader in smartphone technology for nearly a decade. It's time for them to pass the baton.Dear all Nokia fans,I'm a fan as well & very disappointed to see it turns out to what it shouldn't be as of now.

Gizmodo made that mentionet video where their try to prove how slow N8 is. I have ever seen that one media is so openly against one leading brand. But Free media uncover cheaters. No-one trust Gizmodo anymore. Check with your own eyes why. Youtube: Video answer to Gizmodo (How Usable is Nokia´s New N8?). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bJ018LZjLc

vince, 06 Oct 2010if im gonna buy between the three, nokia n8, samsung wave, ... more(if im gonna buy between the three, nokia n8, samsung wave, and iphone4?
        1. N8 - open and free to hack, easily hackable and insane camera and vid quality(see allaboutsymbian.com regarding camera comparison)
        2. Iphone4 - nice but security is really annoying
        3. Samsung wave - good phone but no better than the two)

why wave is no better than the two? is it because its bada?
fyi, wave has the best hardware among the three...
wave: 512mb ram, 1ghz processor, samoled, 1500mah, power vr 540
        n8: 256mb ram, 680mhz processor, amoled, 1200mah, 3D Graphics HW accelerator
        iphone 4: 512mb ram, 1ghz processor, LED-backlit IPS TFT, 1420mah, power vr 530

now, which is the best among the three?

Johan, 06 Oct 2010Go compare the specs of your wave and the n8,ull see the n8... more(Go compare the specs of your wave and the n8,ull see the n8 is better overall(comparing specs),its just the cpu thats better on the wave, but the 3d accelerator makes up for that in the n8. And if by accident you go sit on your phone it would most likely break in 2)

wave is a lot better than n8, and you ask about the gpu, lets just say that wave's gpu is the same with that of the galaxy s (the worlds fastest gpu so far), power vr 540

And on which device are those apps running? (lol) I often need internet access on the phone (for ex I'm in the city and want to check movies/times and buy tickets without going to the cinema before. I have a Nokia X6 and practically I gave up trying to browse the internet from it. The hardware cannot deal with the amount of data it has to process in order to render the pages fast and without problems.
