03 October, 2010
The Nokia N8 started shipping this week and reviews of the Finnish company's latest flagship are spreading like wildfire. Checking out the first batch of those we noticed a certain trend, which we cannot...

              GSMArena Team,
You were right, I've read/watched their reviews the previous day, and have found the same. I only believe in GSMarena review thoughout the entire www. Your reviews are fair, concise, and deep to the point a reader want to read. You are like no others.
              Thank for your present.

The Nokia N8 could be the
                first Nokia branded
                handset that can stand
                right next to the iPhone.
                Of course, GPS navigation
                is an important feature on
                any smartphone that
aspires to be near the top
                of the class.

[deleted post]the only time i've seen praise for samsung was with the galaxy s and only compared with the iphone but lets be honest the galaxy s is a very capable phone especially compared with the iphone

in all honesty if you take fanboyism out of it the iphone has many many flaws and hindrances that outweigh its good especially for the seasoned smartphone user (and yes the iphone does have good points, i know)

The N8 user is an idiot! He types the person's email address instead of looking it up in the contacts. That's how the ip4 and BB user did it.

To take a picture, the N8 did NOT need to be rotated, wasting time!!!

Maybe they are pro-Nokia that doesn't mean you alter reality to make one product more favorable or dominate to the other. That's all. Shameful display of unprofessional-ism in the review.

There is lots of proof to the fact. And it is quite right for GSMArena to call out such dishonesty to remind people to be critical of the reviews themselves and not just lap up what they read.
Now, regarding the iPhone or Android or whatever else, it is your personal opinion and you personally can be as biased as you want. But a website that has a audience in the millions should have some integrity, which GSMArena obviously has.

I see some fanboys who'd earlier suggested that the site be changed to samsungarena(dot)com are now praising GSMA for taking a pro-Nokia stand. Hypocrisy has no limits. Personally, N8 is one device that has caught my attention after wave.Looking forward to play with my freinds' handset which is expected to arrive in couple of weeks time.

Why does gsmarena care? I allways thought gsmarena was pro nokia bias, anti iPhone bias. Gizmodo and engadget are right though, the N8 interface is not as good as ios, plain and simple.

I don't think the reviewers know how to use a digital camera. You focus then you fully hit the shutter. Same goes for Nokia cameras...Seems complicated for some.

Ever since the N73 or so, Nokia N-Series have never been really great, especially not as smartphones, which they are supposed to be. And N-series never will be better I guess, due to the complexity of the OS (Symbian. Example, try to turn off roaming...). I'm getting the N8 as a gift, but I'm gonna sell it to one of those "nokia-fanboys", since I think the Nokia N8 is not worth its pricetag.
