Asus was first at announcing these high-end specs, yet still people compare this to Samsung's Note 7. Samsung certainly have their way of marketing and attracting people even though their products cannot handle average usage making it feel like overusing.

I believe the built quality or everything else of Zen 3 are better than Zen 2 but of course we're skeptic for this HUGE pricing especially compared to their 'socialization' pricing. We've learn how Zen 2 set their price points and we want to have it also on Zen 3!

hahaha...820$......i have a zenfone 2 and i will never buy an asus product for tht cost becz of poor built quality. not worth spending so much on the inferior qualityof their product inside. also no upgrade to even 5.1 for zenfone 2 delux their last flagship. two times in service center for sim tray and screen probelms. i am sure when they do a drop test of this phone how poor thier quality will be. word of advice never go for a high end asus mobile phone one fall and game over.

The prices in Taiwan are pretty much exactly as announced - base model ZF3 was 7990 NTD (~250 USD) and the 5.5 inch model 9990 NTD (~315 USD). Local retailers are already giving modest discounts as well. My guess is that some other countries like Malaysia charge extra taxes and tariffs that lead to higher sticker prices there (same things happens with iPhones etc). Sucks for people in those countries who got their hopes up after the initial press release, but not exactly Asus' fault how other countries decide to tax their products.

With Asus being the content of this article, it doesn't make me wanna go wild but the coverage of the launch of smartphones in Malaysia does! I'm an avid reader of this website and sometimes what turned me off was the lack of coverage of Asian region especially Malaysia. Calculating numbers and prices kinda hard when it is to be compared with the uncertainties in the Malaysia smartphone's market (psst, the price is too steep).
