Afterall, its your money. Go waste it on your idol N8. All I would say is, don't do it, you will regret (just as I do). Rest your choice.

deep space bar, 14 Oct 2010tell me that when
you don't need to download an app to do... moreListen...
Symbian is nothing but cr*p.
And if you are talking about your Windows and Linux stuff, then pay heed to what you just said. You use Linux because its lighter and you are comparing it to Windows which is heavier. More people in the world use Windows (just like Symbian) whereas a few people comparatively use Linux (like Android). Now see what you just said. You just admitted yourself that Symbian ain't good. And thats true!
Secondly, I have already used X10, as I own one. I am developer also (I forgot to tell you that) and so I exactly know what's here and there. Developing apps for Android is simpler and so is for the iOS because their platform are much better than that of Symbian. And you are talking about battery I noticed one thing, go check out the Samsung S8500 Wave battery test and shut yourself up like Symbian. I has much more advanced hardware than the Symbian, and it still outdoes it.
Moreover you call X10 a fail? Go wash your mouth. X10 is THE only Android phone that uses intense animations all over the UI and never hangs or lags.
Should I continue?

600mhz is fine for symbian you guys demand super speed get a useless android phone
crap battery because of the overclocked CPU
you don't remember what happened to android before
it needed an update cause how android was sucking the battery life
and now the facts
higher res means more battery power
higher clockspeed means more battery power
GPU dependant means more battery power
my friend has the x10 and it's a fail
just to let you know i'm using WINDOW and linux
i use linux more cause it's faster and more stable uses less power and more manageble
windows is still ans always will be power hungry like
android and IOS
just like how symbian is
i suggest you try it out then tell me that symbian sucks

The fact that even nokias TOP EXECUTIVES admited themselves that symbian cant compete with android and ios just goes to show how sh1ty symbian is.

deep space bar, 14 Oct 2010what you (i)diots don't see is that
symbian is the lightes... moreWhat!!!!!!
Symbian @ 220 MHz is OK?
Symbian @ 434 MHz is GOOD?
Dude, where in the world are you living!! Have you ever used a Nokia smartphone? All Nokias hang and run very very very slow. Don't fool people that Symbian can run effectively on a 434 MHz processor!
And on the other hand, iOS runs good @ 434 MHz and runs flawlessly at 600 MHz processor and 3D HW Graphics accelerator.
And do you know why I am saying so? Because I keep testing newer phones. I have the Nokia N8 (got it two days back), have the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (got it in February 2010) and the iPhone 3GS. And I personally feel that I am a jackass because i bought the Nokia N8. This phone is still not smooth besides getting a faster processor and a 3D graphics accelerator.
I am selling my N8 in a day or two (because its only a camera, and I already got a Sony DSLR camera at my home). Does anybody want my N8 (crappiest phone)????

what you (i)diots don't see is that
symbian is the lightest smartphone OS on the market
just like linux it's light
and has minimum requirements
220Mhz 128mb runs ok
434mhz 128mb runs better
600mhz 128mb runs much smoother
680mhz 256mb/GPU SMOOOTH
IOS
434mhz 128mb runs ok
600mhz 256mb/GPU runs better
1ghz 512mb/GPU runs SMOOTH
Android
434mhz 128mb/sluggish
600mhz 256mb/GPU much better
1ghz 512mb/GPU still sluggish
ANDROID too heavy for it's own good
and the battery sucks for plus all the messed up versions and specs mess it up

Hahaha. true, Nokia has no scope. signing everything!!
its true that every nokia flagship is praised like anything. after two months, those people say 37 kinds of sh*t about the same model. this has happened ever since 1993 and it is still continuing. the only thing is that the nokia fans are very confined to themselves withing the symbian world, and never once step foot in reality because they do not want to make themselves ashamed of the reality.
Goooo ooooonn nokia, keep suc*ing!!!!
