Samsung Galaxy Note7 loses to year old iPhone 6s in speed test

23 August, 2016
Despite being a year old, the iPhone 6s is known to hold its own against more modern devices in speed tests. This is in no small parts due to Apple's software optimization, the performance of the A9 chip, and incredibly quick NVMe storage. But how does it fare against the brand new Galaxy Note7?

But that being said, if this was a race between a bog standard sports car with a high top speed & newer, technologically superior sports car designed to be better than the bog standard car & it was slower, would that not be a bit shameful?

When the processors and threads taking up resources for Multi-Threaded apps, your resource will slowly deplete when you keep launching apps mindlessly one after the other as in this case. iPhone iOS has implemented this strategy differently where they have optimised the app to take snapshots of app state and reproduce them with a trick (screen shot first them the actual app)....It is sort of illusion but still better than Android, agreed. That does not make Note 7 less performing. These sort of videos may try to hold the buyers from making immediate purchase of Note 7 or force Samsung to reduce cost little bit since Apple iPhone 7 is about to launch soon but other than that these videos may not make much difference in the real world scenario.

there may not be any noticeable change when you put your resolution at lowest in a pc(actually there is..but lets go with your version)..a system's resources are used more at higher resolution, and that goes at an exponential rate...check out fps in games for example...see the difference in hd, full hd Qhd and 4k...
and lastly..the ui itself uses the graphic card..this is not the ms-dos era where you don't need the graphic card to run the system's function...even the caller function need some amount of gpu support, which is why apple cannot dare to come out of its tile interface or it will freez..i personally don;t have a thing against apple..and may try to get an ipad sometime in the future...my dad liked it(the iphone)...he had no tech skills(as usual)..now he has a note...he does't even use the s-pen but he has vowed never to go back

Really! this kind of comparison is only good for a 80 yrs old grandma!!!
Smarter person knows there is no real multitasking in iPhone! so of course there is no task open when you go for the second application! do u want to understand what I am saying?! go open iTunes, Music and app store (these are working multitasking like android) and do the same test! then I like to see "Apple Lover"'s face.

                                        beside:
Note has more pixel so more process!
They have completely different operation system!
Developer of same application may not be good as the other one (even bigger application with big team) so they are not efficient in iOS or Android!
Daily speed test is not about opening 10 different apps! better to work on these below:
                                        - How fast opening web pages
                                        - How fast is camera
                                        - How fast you can save a document (Sorry Apple! you are out of this test)
                                        - How fast you can switch between two application that are running sententiously
