gilda, 23 Aug 2016Many will cry foul because the iPhone has less pixels to pu... moreWhy 5s? you should use Nokia 3310 as that is more fast, reliable and durable plus it would top the speed tests too.

No it is not... This test was very subjective and misleading and it still is. I understand that the aim is to compare the phone "out of the box", but the methodology is inherently flawed e.g. Samsung uses transitions and animations on Android, which can be set to 0, while default is 0.5s, apple has not transitions or animation, so 0.5s of between any action and any press on Samsung is animation, now when you do test like this launching multiple apps one after another for few minutes, the transitions and animations alone will make up good 10s of the tests, so results are flawed. Going on to next factor screen size ... Note runs WQHD 2560x1440 pixels, while iphone 6s runs sub-HD 1334x750, that is 3,7MP vs 1MP, so Samsung is not only quicker if you disable animation, but as well is power 3,7 times larger screen resolution.
Putting simply, the tests are very subjective - aka what would be "dumb guy" feelings of the phone directly out of the box, without understanding specs. or settings.

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2016and that ladies and gentlemen is the iphone 6s from last ye... moreThe A10 will be on the same 16nm process, the improvement will be small.
The iphone only has an obvious advantage in games and it not because of the SOC.

and that ladies and gentlemen is the iphone 6s from last year with the A9 chip.
In a few weeks the big beast will be released..... iPhone 7.
with an A10 chip, ios 10, improved functionality and extra ram, it will be so much faster than iphone 6s and to do same test with iphone 7 and Note 7 wud be laughable!

Genza, 23 Aug 2016Just accept the the truth that Samsung still not good enoug... moreThat's a dumb report. It just looks at brands in aggregate, as if all the phones were the same price point. And there is no explanation on where the data came from. Naturally, its a source I doubt anybody has heard of either.

I was suspecting that new Note 7 is kinda of flop. It was obvious that something is wrong as soon as I noticed too positive reviews from all main resources describing all good things about the phone and no one reviewer pointed on weak sides. Now after real life reviews people discovered that new Gorilla Glass 5 is prone to scratches and shatter resistance is no better than on Note 5, fingerprint button has no glass cover and just pained (scratch prone like S7 Edge), paint job on frame is just another weak point as sooner or later paint will start to come off (especially if phone used in car holder or held in hands very often). Now it's became known that Note 7 is slower than 1 year old iPhone 6s . And in spite of all this Samsung still wants people to pay 900 Euro?? Come on Samsung. Fair price for Note 7 is somewhere between 550-600 USD. Period.

iPhone will always be ahead of the game. Others can try as much as they want but will still play catch-up.

AnonD-538833, 23 Aug 2016A small reminder that overall result is all that matters. D... moreI'm mentioning this because this is a factor to be considered when looking at these performance tests.

man, 23 Aug 2016Run the test again when iphone has 4k display1. Note7 has no 4k, it has QHD
2. Apple would still Win because it has much faster storage. And res. Only makes a speed difference In 3D Games, in normal use there is not much difference

AnonD-97167, 23 Aug 2016Don't forget that you are comparing qHD screen with fHD folksAnd dont forget you're comparing 2gb vs 6gb ram, which is what really matters while multitasking. So your reason is pointless. Optimization is the key.

SamX, 23 Aug 2016why use those SOC when DUAL CORE A9 is enough to demolish t... moreAs I already said multiple times, exynos 8890, sd 820 and a9 are around the same. Only sd 820 has little better GPU. Cores and RAM don't do anything to speed
