Guys, Samsung is just doing you a favor. Thanks to them, you won't be using your TouchWiz-infected phone for a while. May save you some headaches as well. :)

Apple currently has much better customer support than any other manufacturer in the world. They would never do something like this because that will never happen. Apple tests their phone much more than Samsung does because they don't pump out 10 new smartphones a day.

There have been S-Pen problems, software problems and now battery problems. What is more concerning is that if it supposedly just one batch it would not be across multiple countries on different continents. It has so far been identified in India, China and possibly the US and Europe too.

Sammy is so eager to roll out phones almost every day, that they don't properly test their devices. I always thought Sammy was a cheap company and now I know why. Full of plastic, bad interface, full of features nobody uses and no quality control. All my friends having Sammy phones either have broken displays or broken USB port. And they all have wear and tear after just a few months of use, even with a case on it.
Touchwiz sux big time, I don't understand how could fanboys even like it. I was in a shop and I picked up the S7Edge to check it out and as soon as I saw those icons and the settings design I was like bleah!
Looks like I'm going with Sony, again. At least I know that they do check their phones rigorously and they actually have quality control. Software updates are the best right after the nexus line and their android is the cleanest.
I've been using Xperia Z (the first one) for 3 years now, I'm running on 5.1.1. Never had an error, never bootlooped, dropped it many times and not a scratch on it.
If you're a fashion addict and you need others people approval, buy a Sammy, if you want quality and a lasting phone that won't explode on you, buy a Sony.
