TC, 04 Nov 2010Symbian is not more efficiant than Android, and the reason ... moremr smarty pants ,i own galaxy s and it lags so bad..just pop up all the time blank screen..battery is terrible..i bought it so much interest but what i go through is dissapointing..build quality is cheap as well..samsung charges more but lookwise its all cheap plastic and no froyo as promised yet..i guess if we own android we have to change devices every 3 months to keep up to date..this frustrates the user like me not the so called screen resolutions..i was also very excited by seeing first time SAMOLED but now iam not due to the lag in my galaxy s..

C'mon danny, quality over quantity. Nokia an... moreA good number of iphone / Android users I know used to be owner of the almighty brand's phones, and none of them said they'll go back to the almighty brand....
The almighty brand may increase customers base through the low-end markets, though for "developed" countries, more and more customers are switching to iOS or Android.
One thing is other companies around the world, from shopping malls to subway systems, from banks to airlines...most everybody is buidling apps for Apple, and some are also going after Android as well.
Apps for OVI store from these companies? Hardly ever heard of....

And very responsive indeed, i'm not going to argue.
People hate symbian because of lack of eye candy and modern feel. Also because some experience restarting and hanging problems. Fortunately, i never have those symbian nightmares.
Symbian uses microkernel, android is monolithic and a linux derivative. Go figure what difference it would make, i'm not sure myself, but i remember once reading that microkernels are slower than monolithic kernels, although more stable. Microkernels are hardware efficient too.
I admire symbian because of the power it possess. For now, i will try other OS(bada in particular) and will not be back on symbian until the issues are fixed. Or until numerous software updates that's about to come has made a difference.

C'mon danny, quality over quantity. Nokia and Symbian sell more than android devices and apple iphones combined!! Nokia will always be successful due to their worldwide fanbase. Anybody that thinks Android will rule over nokia is stupid. Android will have it's success for a few years and will fall off due to it's unreliability of poor battery life.
Android is a terrible OS with a major battery life issue.

Even photo gallery n musi... moreIf it took you 5 minutes to connect to wi-fi on an N8 (which sports uPnP), you must have the IQ of a trout fish. Every single i-phone/i-pod touch owner knows that those are terrible at connecting to wi-fi networks. I own an i-pod touch 3rd gen, so I should know. And you haven't even touched a symbian device beforehand, cause in that case you would've just tapped the status bar, turned wi-fi on and got a life.

Android is the most overrated OS to ever come by on the phone market. The battery life is terrible. I don't care what the haters say, Symbian is better and a much more reliable OS then Android ever will be. The average android device only last like a day and a few hrs. Nokia phones with usage last about 3 to 4 days.
Android fanboys are a gazillion times worse then iphone. The iphone fan boys are annoying a little, but nowhere near close then android.

I doubt this phone will ever make it to the US. It would sell craploads if it replaces Nuron at t-mobile.

The fact that C6-01 has 8 MP camera but fixed focus is unforgiven and is a no buy for me, not considering the thickness and the weight of the device. I want to buy a Nokia phone that is more compact, more slim, less weight, 8 MP camera with auto focus, capacitive screen and other features found on Nokia C5-03. Is there one for me?

[deleted post]... and yet low-end phones fly off shelves every day. Clearly, there is a huge market out there populated by customers who see phones as tools and don't attribute self-worth in any way to their telecommunications device.
Granted, IMHO Nokia could do with releasing fewer handsets overall - for example they could have included an 8GB card and autofocus with this phone and cut out the C7 entirely. And I would probably be getting an N8 or E7 over this phone. But the facts show that you are incorrect.

Hi, Im an avid fan of your site..sharing whats on my mind. i think this phone is much better if they will replace the camera with carl zeiss.
I love nokia phones.
