10 November, 2010
SquareTrade, the largest independent warranty provider, rated some of the most popular smartphones out there by their reliability and as it turns out, Apple's iPhone 4 suffers from the least non-accident malfunctions...

jjsoviet, 11 Nov 2010The iPhone game library is laughable compared to Nintendo's... moretoo right, people tend to forget what a mobile phone was intended to do and invented in the 1st place. to MAKE CALLS on the go. I i wanted to play games i'd rather indulge in real games with drooling graphics on my PC! portable gaming? i'd go for some dedicated portable gaming devices such as the PSP. i bet the iPhone games are like tricking some immature kid or buyer to buy their product.

Salesperson: "lookie! our iPhones can install all sorts of useless junkapps and games!"

      Buyers: "oh...oh!! i want 1..i want 1!!!"

Why an iPhone? why buy the iphone just because you wanna play games on it? APPS? tsk..tsk..tsk...

Like alot of people said before, you want to take real photos, go get a DSLR camera, u want to play games? go get a gaming console or a PC.

LOL i feel sorry for those still defending their "precious" iPhones. Poor souls wasting their money on a piece of crap...huhu...hey, why do i care? go on..go buy ur iCraps! its a good phone! you all would make Steve Jobs smile abit more XD

Can you imagine if your friend lives 20 miles away from you. That means you have travel 20 miles so you can bt a file. How's that easy? I've been using the iphone for 3 years now. I have no problems downloading any song I want w/out having to ask anyone for it. I have itunes and limewire.

As for video calling. I didn't care for it then, I don't care for it now. But it's nice to have facetime, especially there's no set up necessary and it's a free service. Pretty soon it would be available on 3g. I don't know why you exaggerate things just because you do not like the iphone.

[deleted post]ooo... that's a good idea actually. I was thinking a slightly-rounded, polished wood finish could be a good alternative to glass as well. Nowhere near as cheap to produce though... maybe they oculd go aluminium unibody?

Arturas, 11 Nov 2010Dude, you don't seem to understand how ridiculous you sound... moreTo be fair, AFAIK you can use FaceTime over the Internet via a WLAN connection - ie you don't need to be on the same WLAN, so long as each person is connected to a WLAN which itself has an Internet connection. It's basically a webcam in a phone, and it's cool that you'll be able to FaceTime OSX Lion users too.

However it still makes me wonder why, with all the technology under the hood, iP4 *still* doesn't support 3G video calling for those times (like, most of the time you're out and about) you are not actually near an open or accessible Internet-connected WLAN.

Not to mention the "accidental breakage" rates - the sheer number of Nokias out there would mean that plenty of handsets are being dropped from second storey windows and left on car rooftops out there! :--D

[deleted post]Dude, you don't seem to understand how ridiculous you sound here. :D Bluetooth file transfers are always preferred, they consume less energy and are much quicker and have a way higher compatibility, since not everyone bothers to configure e-mail, but everyone, except for iPhone has bluetooth.

Facetime is better, lol, I don't get it at all, why would you "face time" somebody that is on the same wifi network? I'd prefer just meeting them, probably. :D But with 3g, you can do that too and everywhere else...

[deleted post]Why bother with e-mail? It's not popular with the vast majority of phone users. BT file transfer is far more common and easier to do.

Good luck getting FaceTime happening when you're not near an open/accessible WLAN. I'll be over here having some face time with friends over 3G between a 4 year old Nokia and a 2 year old Sony Ericsson.

The mind boggles as to why Apple users "prefer" to do things the hard way, when the rest of the world has far simpler, more compatible and easier options.

If you are that much worried just get the back screen replaced with metal back cover which looks too good like Apple iPhone 4 beveled back cover - black/silver metal insert .
