You guys dont forget that Mediatek cpu's are known for providing high power drain from its equiped smartphones, carries weak Mali GPU variants and wireless connectivity/efficiency are not able to compete with Qualcomm, Samsung or Apple so far. Cheaper variants of a CPU, but sometimes Meizu uses them on 500€+ smartphones, which should be unacceptable.

Apple makes money because they patent everything and only use whats theirs (forcing 3rd party manufacturers to pay royalties and Apple neglects to pay someone else for theyr technology), and everyone in the smartphone business wants a fair share of money, theyr just not good enough. Nowan is less greedier than anyone else.

A spectacular plan, not surprising though looking at samsung that is so greed. First they sell underspecced phone with their own making underspecced processor, say the J3 that they sell with 170$ (at least in my country currency) and the likes of J5 2016 or A3 2016 with high price of 230$ and 246$ Compare to the likes of ZenFone 2 Laser that comes with the same price of J3 even cheaper by a couple of dollars yet offering a higher spec like A3 or even the ZenFone Selfie that offering much more beastly internal with only 200$ that on par with A7 with 500$ more. Also on the range there's K5 Plus from Lenovo Vibe that offering more or less like the Selfie on the same range and also so many other phone with ofc better quality and not featuring sBoom to be exact on cheaper price.
Now that they asked MediaTek to be their processor supplier, with lower quality and cheaper than Qualcomm's ofc samsung gains much more profit in this manner because they selling with same price and or even would be more expensive than they ever had sold

The important is, that if Samsung from next year will no longer use the Qualcomm's CPU/GPU. They have to improve their own Exynos processor to a level that it can beat the next year's SD 830, & this year & next, fusion A10 & A11. So they must be really really hard at work!!!!!!
