I don't really put much emphasis on this removal of the 3.5mm jack by Apple because most people have been buying wireless headset long before now but I rather have it as it serves more than just headphones. I also used it on aux. Am not really an Apple fanboy as they love to push their weight around because they have a great number of blind followers behind them to buy whatever they put out. Even if they triple the price. It's only an idiotic company would follow Apple in this direction as people need opinions to keep price low through competition. Apple is not a leader. They are more of a follower base on their products specs and designs over a number of years now

Ditching the headphone jack was about one thing and one thing only, money.
It saves apple money not installing it on the phone and provides more revenue from adapters and licensing.
Regardless of what phone brand or OS you prefer, it's just as simple as that.
Me personally, i think it's idiotic

First, I'd get the iPhone 7, then the earpods, then the adapter.. Damn, I'd just get a Note7 and have everything technology offers! Okay, I'd also have enough water with me ton.. :P

"When you're as big as Apple, you can get away with almost anything, including murder… OK, that might have come off sounding a bit wrong and quite extreme."
Not funny considering the lawsuits against leukemia is Samsung's factories.

People who are happy about the removal on the iPhone 7 are obviously iSheeps. Using Bluetooth, needs charging after couple of hours. Kills phones' battery too. Sure, using the adapter for 3.5mm headphone jack is prolly the best solution, but not really either. You can't charge while listening to music(e.g while you're on long bus, train ride etc)

In 2008 I loathed Sony-Ericsson for not having a normal headphone jack on their otherwise fantastic little SE K750i phone. A year or 2 later at the dawn of the smartphones manufacturers finally took customers need for granted and placed headphone jacks on every (media-)phone. 18 years later and Apple goes back to proprietary connectors a-la 2008! WTF!

All bluetooth headphones cost triple, the battery die in one years of intensive use because is very little and is a real pain in the @ss to charge headphones every day, one problem in plus. Beside, bluetooth headphones sound weaker than the classic headphones

No tu mention, if analog vs digital was the issue, how about Bluetooth audio which is the same crap apple use for their earpods just that they changed the name on something to make sound like a new tech.
