26 September 2016
Over a week after a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge burning incident came to light, a woman from the Philippines claimed that her unit also heated up and started emitting smoke while it was being used by her daughter.

AnonD-589832, 26 Sep 2016Okay Iphones have so many heating up problems it sick many ... moreWe are talking about safety here. Its not about "apple" "samsung" and others. The Note 7 exploding issue is huge. It made me cancel my order. I like iphones and android phones alike. No questions asked.

Okay Iphones have so many heating up problems it sick many of them combust. I believe as of the past few weeks several greedy people are literally attempting to get there phone to catch fire or other problems. They want to find ways to collect free money. Samsung has made so many amazing phones and accessories. And the note 7 issue is fixed and the phones are years ahead of the new (reintroduce i-phone 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7) oh wait they've not made any advancement caveman and the bricks. Like Forrester always says he was a apple share holder (stupid is stupid does)

All of these rumours are because s7 edge is the first phone that is great in every aspects.
s7 edge is water resistant and have 3.5 mm jack , according to iFixit apple dropped the 3.5 mm jack because it couldnt make the phone water resistant with it. s7 edge has 12 mp camera with 1/2.5" sensor size and f1.7 , if you guys knew what f1.7 means you wouldnt even compare its camera to any other phone , super amoled screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels , believe me that i wouldnt believed it at first too , apple said that human eyes cant recognise the changes in resolutions higher than retina , before i bought s7 edge i had 6s plus , not only me but my family too can see the difference in the resolution , watching a music video in s7 edge makes your eyes sparkle, believe me , i was an ios user till 3 months ago , because i thought if you buy an iphone you can update it for 4 to 5 years and use the latest apps but its not like that , yes you can update your os , but whats dissapointing is that you have to have atleast ios 7.1 for installing an app like instagram but you can install the same version on android 2 , so you wouldnt even need to update your android device for years , android is better than ios in my line of work , im a civil engineer from iran and we communicate mostly through telegram so when my boss send me a cad file in telegram and tell me to mail it to mr x , i couldnt do it if i had an ios device because ios won let you have an access to your phone hard drive so you should have a jailbroken phone and know where to look in ifile , but with android its like drinking a glass of water , and some of you are really making me cry cause one of the reviewers said samsung uses cheap hardware , excuse me dont you really know that 90 percent of the cheaps that are used in phones are from companies like qualcomm , so you are saing that sd 820 used in htc 10 is better than sd 820 used in samsung ! come on guys ! think what you wanna say through before writing it down.

Now I stopped being crazy about Samsung after S2 and S3. Their business model changed, and so did the brands of my phones. With that being said, it does seem like a scam with S7 and S7Edge. If it isn't, there has to be an explanation. I'm just wondering if all the phones, that caught the fire, were equipped with Snapdragon SoC. I've reed the reports, that Qualcomm SoC's have a very poor heat management, and they usually don't restart the devices once they reach certain heat threshold. So I'm just wondering if among those failed devices are any Exynos versions too.

Since my s7 edge heated up a couple of nights before without any particular load to it and even charging with a non fast charger, i never sleep besides it anymore.

Embarrassing or not #rideordie with Samsung

It is natural that a phone might catch fire if you heat it too much , pour water to it and then it will surely get damaged if you step to it !!!
Don't know why such issues are suddenly rising after Note 7... yeah phone needs to be cool and Samsung really needs to improve it.. but it is not that they are like exploding balls...

My Nexus 5 randomly heats up just sitting doing "nothing" in my pocket. If I threw water on it and covered it in a towel and stamped on it, I guess the battery might catch fire. Water and electricity don't mix well.

Don't forget that, DESPITE users protests, they have decided to enforce programmed obsolesce in the form of the non-removable battery.

Now, users cannot simply get the battery out and hand it over to samsung, and receive easy replacement.

Samsung, BRING THE REMOVABLE BATTERY BACK!!!

What people seem to forget is that the note 7 and s7 edge use the same batteries from the same supplier. So who is to say that some of the faulty batteries didn't end up in the s7 edge.

AnonD-507364, 26 Sep 2016haha, another fanboy comment. The reports on Samsung is no... morethere is difference between gathering facts, and being fanboy, or hater like you.
I dont own Samsung deivce, I always used Sony, so your childish whining of "eeee... fanboy eeee" is just sad.

I have no idea about quality of Samsung component, but truth is, that... most of competition use their products, starting from memory chips, going though screens and ending in small parts like transistors or strips/terminals.
Again is nothing more than childish behave of setting opinion of ALL products based on one device...
Its remind be of kids that get free phone from parents operator, those cheap models like Samsung Ace, and they use it and cry that all Samsung phones are slow... its amazing, really.

It's approximately 7 months has been past from the release of S7 and this is the first one that catches in fire. I think user is responsible on this case she miss understand the phone model ;)
