one can pay any thing to sell their phones
        but I'm using personally
        the camera is centre focussed
you can observe it if you use it for some days.
Camera clarity of these phones are just ok.
But i can obey one thing
Video recording will be great in full focus cameras
I'm using Nokia c6-01 personally from 2 months.
I was disappointed because i can't scan documents
i can't snap close up shots.
These phones are like normal Kodak cameras
that are available for 1000rs in the market.

And since nokia moved its great camera module to a ff cam, i moved my self from that ailing platform to Android on a Sony Ericsson X10 mini Pro & have no plans to switch back... Thats after being a loyal Nokia fan from my 3210, 8210, 3200, 6230i, N70, 5700 & the best out of the lot & in my opinion, best cost to money Nokia phone even with those bloody C7's & N8's...

But sadly, i see no future for Nokia but i wish them luck... Rather doubt that i will join the ranks of them anytime soon! :P

it is definitely a matter of cost. check wikipedia. never thought nokia would take such a cheap step. increasing the cost of the phone with a cheap technology. such a cheater.

Forgot about battery. Full loaded shows 2days 12 h of active use. In active use works working day. Average maybe 24h. It means ~1h calls ~1h web,~30min gps few pictures-5?/no flash/ few min video. Devise set to energy saver.
Multitasking...N8 informed out of memory when I had MENU, NOTES and tried open recorded video. Just impressive. Comments written on N8

I thing there is something underneath FF idea. For me there is no dfference between FULL and FIXED focus. Both have same disadvantage. No close distance shootings. Again nokia gives a place for Samsung and others. Samsung gives full control over camera and if you wish it is possible to set camera to PF option /full focus/ from 50cm to infinity and user can decide about it. Even my 66 year mom complain about her nokia FF camera that can't take closer shoots and have to carry compact with her. I'm from Poland and time in history when someone knew better what I need passed over 20 years ago. Nokia uses slowest/cheapest cpu and minimum ram for such devices on market and tries to persuade that it is ok. Now I own N8 and it could be best cameraphone/mobile computer on market but because of Nokia ignorance is not. N8 has the same problems as S60 devises. So called S3 does not exist for me. It is just marketing slogan for cosmethic changes of S60. I tested many Nokia devices during this year and all of them have similar problems. I.e. restartslr hungs when radio is on. N8 did the same on welcome. Camera disspoints with it horrible interface and soft. Samsung s8300 I also use have no problem with AF from real close up /10cm/to infinity. N8 cannot. AF assistant beam apart of blinding people with real strong light /everything is red at distance of over 30 meters!!!/ does not help fasten AF than without. Just tape it TWICE with black isolation tape. AF works fine even in low light without it. Flash does not covers lens angle and exposure compensation does not work after sunset. Plus option darken picture instead of lighten. Etc. In two weeks since its premiere in Poland it is available for 50€ in Orange instead of 500€. I thing it tells all about.

WTF Damian Dinning trying to do?
Damian stands up for Nokia’s Full Focus cameraphones. I dont know why?
Everything have its pros and cons, but Full Focus is limiting the capabilities of a mobile camera. Dont they should try to give more Price to performance punch. NOKIA & DAMIAN, this is not good.

Olivier, 24 Nov 2010Technical mumbo-jumbo doesn't mean shit outside the phone f... moreI must admit that I agree. I've loved all my Nokia mobiles, and i'm very pleased with my current N900 - but you gotta admit that this is a dumb move on Nokia's part. AF is very valuable, i use my close up camera on a lot of things every day. The larger depth of field argument is foolish. Such a thing is only useful with a real camera, not the 'modest' 8mp unit found on the E7. Even so, there are ways to improve depth of field regardless.

Next thing i gotta agree with is on the Symbian signing process. It's simply rediculous. It has been a complaint from developers ever since S60 was released, and the ovi store could be substantially bigger than it is right now if Nokia were to change that stupid signing process. They had an excellent idea with Maemo 5, i personally think Symbian should mimic that very same approach.

IMO, Meego is their only hope, unless they can fix Symbian. That being said, they've improved it by leaps and bounds, and it's actually really good right now! But it can be better - by improving the ovi store. But all of that is a moot point if they don't start releasing competitive hardware. The N9 most likely is gonna be a single core Qualcomm CPU, which is excellent, and probably just fine in terms of performance for Meego, but it's not going to sit well with the average consumer.....why get a single core when you can buy a dual core unit, capable of recording 1080p, in addition to even better multitasking performance..?

I, for one, am hoping that even more hardware manufacturers jump on board with Meego - i'd like to see a variety of phones come out, as i think the OS shows plenty of promise (in terms of 3rd party software development).

I guess time will tell, yes?

Someone counted that at the pace downloads are growing, annual growth is about 800 percent.

Some developer also posted an apology from Nokia where they said their app verification process can't keep up with the flood of new apps.

Sounds pretty good situation to me.

Technical mumbo-jumbo doesn't mean shit outside the phone factory. It's sad to see Nokia doesn't get it. I owned a 5800. And I LOVED it. There was no Transit app for my city but still. Now what are you guys doing? Trailing on the apps, no AF, WTF? Are they about to remove the 3.5mm jack too?

They need to be doin what they did with Ovi maps. Go big for everyone. An they need to do it now. Almost looks like suicide.
